How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

“Saints and Sinners stands out in more than just its survival aspects as it's visually stunning too, with greatly detailed models and impressively dark, dingy environments; it's a jaw-dropping adventure from start to finish. Its moving story and creative gameplay make for one of the most engaging VR titles to date. One big step forward for post-apocalyptic survival and one giant leap forward for virtual reality gaming, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners - Tourist Edition is a must-buy for all PSVR2 gamers.”

“The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is one of those games people are going to look at and say “This is why you should buy into VR”. Saints & Sinners is a thrilling, nail-biting experience that I won’t soon forget.”

“The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners may well be the very best single-player game available on the Quest right now, as well as already being one of the best VR games on the market period. While the dull narrative presentation does make the story elements a real slog, once you get past them (or skip them), you will find a game that understands everything that makes a VR gaming so special, and I doubt zombie killing is ever going to get more fun than it is here.”

“The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is an excellent VR game that stands out from a lot of what the medium tends to be associated with. The weight of the combat combined with the constant worry that the undead and the living both bring combine for an incredibly gratifying experience. Throw in crafting, the solid writing and meaningful quests and you've got a pretty special game on your hands. This is definitely worth a look if you can stomach more zombies. I mean, kill them, don't eat them.”

“While The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners would seem like a fairly simple zombie survival romp outside of VR, the added dimension and some smart design decisions elevate it significantly.”

“Aside from some graphical limitations, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is an excellent experience and one of the best the Quest has to offer”

“The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners is probably the most complete experience on PSVR to date. An RPG with excellent combat, brilliantly implemented free movement and a proper campaign.”

“The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners would almost be a perfect video game if it weren't for the innumerable technical problems that plagued the game a month after its release. The developers promise progress, but with so many different platforms, it seems difficult to get a complex game like this on track. Therefore, it is not yet clear whether everyone can really enjoy the game at the present time, and intensive research is definitely recommended before purchasing. But when things do go well, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners effortlessly ranks in the top league of VR entertainment and is worth a great recommendation.”
