How this score was computed

The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

Pupperazzi is just as cute as it sounds. Taking photos of dogs is easy and fun, though its simplicity may result in a lack of follow-through. Still, there's something endearing and relaxing about snapping pics of happy pooches.

Pupperazzi is aimed at a specific audience of gamers, but unfortunately, I don’t fall into that group. That said, I have to admit that the game exceeded my expectations. After all, it’s a truly simple yet cute and relaxing game. So if you’re having a bad day, this dog-filled game is just the thing to calm your mind.

If you love light gaming with loose objectives and pups, this will have some appeal, but against some peers it’s lacking

Cute, but featuring far too high of a price tag to justify the amount of content it includes.

Pupperazzi isn’t difficult or cerebral. This photography simulator doesn’t have the budget or serenity that other games in the genre might provide, but handily makes up for it with charm, personality, and hundreds of dogs being big goofballs. Even playing the same level multiple times will give you a random assortment of dogs and toys to mess around with, so the game doesn’t grow stale easily. It’s a fantastic example of a video game letting you live out a simple real-life fantasy: walking around without a care in the world, taking photos of endless dogs, and their fluffy, scratchable butts.

On the surface, Pupperazzi is a pleasant way to relax and have puppy photoshoots. The audio and visuals further extended that pleasantry by being distinctively designed and colourful, making it a soothing game to explore. Though the game’s performance on Switch is less than stellar, hampering the overall enjoyment of the game.

Pupperazzi is a cute game filled with all the same affection that we have for our four-legged friends, but sadly it doesn't deliver the warm fuzzy feelings you might be expecting.

Pupperazzi is a first-person adventure where you play as a camera with legs whose main purpose is to take as many photos of dogs as possible. It’s a very fun and wholesome experience that’s supported by a lot of free movement and simple colorful aesthetics. Sadly, it has problems mechanically that make the whole experience too easy, meaning it ends too quickly.

Growing the burgeoning 'serotonin snapper' genre, Pupperazi is as relaxed as gaming gets. Aimed at pretty much everyone that isn't a cat, this is another indie gem that's sure to leave you with an almighty grin on your face and, as an added bonus, you won't get dog hair on your sofa.

Pupperazzi is a relaxing and charming game to play. The overall adorable nature of playing with, patting and taking photos of all the different dogs easily outweighs a couple of frustrations within the game.
