How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

If you enjoyed Dave the Diver, My Time at Sandrock, or Coral Island, this is an absolute no-brainer. Building a new life on the ruins of the old one has never been this fun. “I Am Future: Cozy Apocalypse Survival is a playable and enjoyable experience that could be further enhanced by DLC, it is not the largest game from start to finish and there is a bit of playability after you're done but not by much as there is nothing really that you can work towards, the main gameplay loop of uncovering more of the rooftop and building a self sustaining farm is great but once you have completed a lot of the smaller projects at hand you are practically done. If the game is expanded with content it could be something really great as the potential and groundwork is already there but only if the developers allow it.”

“I Am Future: Cozy Apocalypse Survival manages to successfully blend the post-apocalyptic survival genre with a stress-free gameplay loop. There were times when I found the constant back-and-forth journey for resources a little slow, and other times when I wanted to skip the corny dialogue. But, overall, I had a lot of fun! I would easily recommend it to anyone looking for something that, whilst perhaps not genre-defining, is easy enough to get to grips with and isn’t bogged down with a myriad of complex systems. Therefore, I Am Future: Cozy Apocalypse Survival gets the Thumb Culture Gold Award!”
