How this trust score was computed

Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.

    Mistfall HunterAug 13, 2026 · Roger Reichardt

If you’re a fan of ARPGs and Souls-likes and enjoy some competition in your gaming, then Mistfall Hunter is a game for you. It’s much more fun with friends, so if you can convince two others to pick up the game, you’ll have a much better experience.

Moss: The Forgotten Relic Aug 2, 2026 · Stephanie Lene

Moss redefines the concept of interactive play. The smooth transition from cutscenes to gameplay, along with its stunning art design, fully immersed me in the world, allowing me to explore it as if I were right beside Quill. The gameplay flows effortlessly with a controller, and the combat elements introduce a sense of urgency without being overwhelming. I highly recommend Moss to anyone who loves platformers with plot twists, light combat, and an adorable mouse companion!

    LIFTEDJul 23, 2026 · Mike Ryan

Lifted is designed for all players, not just seasoned vets. It's welcoming to even the youngest of gamers, but the settings can be tinkered to make it more of a challenge. The game is created by Jeff Ashbrook, a former Disney Imagineer. With that experience, his goal to make a game that appeals to everyone and tells a riveting interactive story is fully realized. It's a solid choice for any gamer who loves a good adventure, is ideal for families, fans of story-driven platformers, or anyone craving a lighthearted adventure. It's not perfect – it's a little on the short side, has its share of camera glitches, and may be too easy for some, but it's still a fun experience. The game has heart, a lot of feel-good moments, and will keep you smiling from beginning to end.

    Culdcept BEGINSJul 17, 2026 · Roger Reichardt

I've been waiting a long time for a new entry in the Culdcept series, and Culdcept Begins doesn't disappoint. The local and online multiplayer features, along with GameShare, were exactly what I hoped would be included, and I'm thrilled they made it into the game. While I wasn't expecting a story, it grew on me over time. That said, I wish multiplayer and other features weren't locked behind the first few story chapters. Overall, though, Culdcept Begins is the best game in the series. If you're a fan of Monopoly and Magic: The Gathering, Culdcept Begins is an easy recommendation.

    4PGPJun 30, 2026 · Roger Reichardt

4PGP plays really well. Even in handheld mode on Switch 2, the performance is impressive. It's a challenging arcade racer and incorporates the multiplayer aspect well, and I appreciate the devs implemented game share. I wish the same amount of effort was put into the level designs and customization. The environments were lifeless which made the game feel flat. The lack of any car customizations, even just providing cosmetic options, took away any agency I had over the game.

I’m not going to dive much deeper into the puzzles themselves. That’s something you really need to discover on your own. But I will say this: the more I uncovered, the more uneasy I became. Part of that comes from the game’s overall presentation. The developers do a great job capturing this strange, janky atmosphere that constantly makes the experience feel slightly off in an intentional way. But most of the unease comes from the growing realization that there’s something else communicating with me from within the game itself.

Mina the HollowerMay 27, 2026 · Zebediah Fedewa

Mina the Hollower is the perfect example of a game with a retro look but modern feel. With fluid combat and snappy controls making for an enjoyable and inventive combat loop, this game became a favorite.. Trying to learn each puzzle and find every secret this great game had for me was well worth my time.

    WardrumMay 23, 2026 · Roger Reichardt

As individual parts, Wardrum does a great job. The rhythm-based combat works well, the strategy elements are competently executed, and the roguelike features incorporate systems I've come to enjoy in other games in the genre. The problem is that these pieces never fully come together as a cohesive idea. Roguelikes typically focus their progression between runs, rewarding players with new abilities, characters, and permanent upgrades; but death means starting over. RPGs are built around steadily growing stronger through character progression. Wardrum tries to do both at once, and for me, those systems ended up working against each other rather than complementing one another.

    SektoriMay 14, 2026 · Roger Reichardt

I love Sektori. The roguelike-inspired elements and smart risk/reward systems feel fantastic within the fluid arcade shooter framework Sektori delivers. I’d heard people loved this game, but playing it on the Switch 2 feels especially right at home on the platform. If you’re a fan of challenging twin-stick arcade shooters, pick up Sektori. You won’t regret it.

MARVEL MaXimum CollectionApr 19, 2026 · Roger Reichardt

With six different games included, Marvel MaXimum Collection is one of the best collections of retro Marvel games. While some of the titles aren’t among my favorites (Silver Surfer, I’m looking at you), the inclusion of X-Men: The Arcade Game, along with online co-op, makes this an easy recommendation.

    Aether & IronApr 12, 2026 · Roger Reichardt

The story, voice acting, art, and music are outstanding in Aether and Iron. I also appreciate that the game takes a chance with its dice-rolling mechanic. However, I would have liked to see failures carry more weight from a narrative perspective, while still earning experience in the process.

    Minishoot' AdventuresMar 18, 2026 · Roger Reichardt

Minishoot’ Adventures is one of my favorite games on the Nintendo Switch 2. It feels right at home, especially since it clearly takes inspiration from games like The Legend of Zelda and Metroid. It does little to hold your hand, but subtle clues point you in the right direction on where to go and what to do next. There are plenty of hidden secrets as well, giving completionists a lot to explore. If you’re a fan of twin-stick shooters or exploration heavy games like Zelda, Minishoot’ Adventures deserves a spot in your library.

    LOVE ETERNALMar 6, 2026 · Jacob Robinson

Love Eternal is a game that will hit with certain people who enjoy these types of games where they can get through the levels the fastest or go through the entire game without dying. Unfortunately, I am not one of those people. I wanted to catch chunks of the story but it didn't give me enough to keep a steady pace to keep my interest.

    Demon TidesFeb 20, 2026 · Zebediah Fedewa

Demon Tides is a very fun platformer with charismatic characters and smooth movement. It’s the perfect spring or summer game to play just to get into the season and remind everyone to sit back and enjoy the waves sometime.

    BaladinsFeb 20, 2026 · Roger Reichardt

Baladins is a breath of fresh air. Its board game inspired playstyle, coupled with branching dialogue and open quests, allows me to explore and experience it at my own pace. Adding the ability to play with up to three other people makes it feel like I’m sitting around a board game with friends. The loop mechanic adds an interesting element, refreshing the board every six turns, but it never became troublesome, as the game offers plenty to explore and do. I highly recommend this game for those who love board games and are looking for a new experience with friends during your weekly game night sessions.
