How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

“The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication scares are definitely scary, although it would be wise to take a break now and then as constant playing can make things quite stressful. The game is really worth giving a chance, the tension, the story, and the character details along with the voice acting really set The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication up there with other horror masterpieces.”

“The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication was a scary and campy ride from start to finish! The eerie buildings of Wen Hua University were a treat to explore as well! The story, while a tad bit dragged out near the latter half, was still very exciting and had me invested to the very end! Despite my complaints, the game was still a fun, campy time that you should play this Halloween!”

“The Bridge Cruse 2: The Extrication is a short but fun horror experience. My initial impressions didn't leave me too enthusiastic about what was to come, but I'm happy to say that things changed pretty fast. While the first encounter felt like the game wanted us to be afraid of the security guard, which I wasn't, it's what came next that was truly scary. Once the game started diving into the history of the school, the events that lead to ghosts haunting the halls, and the overall mystery of it all; I was hooked!”

“There is a lot to enjoy about The Bridge Curse 2 The Extrication from its well written story and characters to the unique monster designs. Its just a shame those monster designs lead to a lot of boring run and hide sequences. Those who enjoyed the first game or even the movies of the same titles will surly find a lot of love here.”
