How this score was computed

The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

RV There Yet? is a chaotic, humorous, and surprisingly addictive co-op game that can turn even a mundane detour into an unforgettable experience. Its greatest strength lies in working together to overcome absurd obstacles, which often end in laughter, and arguments. However, it suffers from technical bugs, overly aggressive wildlife, and, above all, a single map that quickly leads to repetition. Still, thanks to its low price, it’s a fun little game that offers several intense hours of chaos.

With fun co-op gameplay famous for its friendship-fracturing style, RV There Yet?’s Mabutts Valley is a thrilling experience that people who could afford to lose a few friends shouldn’t miss out on.

RV There Yet? might not be the most intricate or polished co-op game out there, but it’s effortlessly fun. Its mix of teamwork, physics-driven chaos, and laid-back humor strikes that rare balance between laughter and light frustration. With a bit more content or fine-tuning, it could easily become a standout in the genre, but as it stands, it’s a scrappy, endearing road trip that delivers exactly the kind of good time it promises.

A product that still has room for improvement, yet manages to entertain you quite well even at its current level - a solid value-for-money choice.

RV There Yet? it's a one-shot experience that I certainly wouldn't recommend if you want a couple of evenings of unbridled fun, but the numerous bugs and lack of content undermine the experience.

If crude humor appeals, and a road trip with friends full of situational comedy, swearing, and bizarre physics antics sounds enticing, this title delivers all of that, plus a charming visual style. Technically it could use some polish, but otherwise it is a more entertaining cooperative romp than expected. There’s no chance of boredom on this journey.

"Road mayhem at its finest" RV There Yet? delivers one of the most absurd co-op experiences of the year, where friends team up to drive a vehicle devoid of reason through a world of hilarious disasters. Despite its simplicity and limited content, its satirical spirit makes it a lighthearted adventure well worth trying, especially for fans of group games.

RV There Yet feels purposefully designed to make the most of the TikTok-ification of this genre, to generate viral clips that look so mental, and so fun, that you don’t need a marketing budget, just some mates barely scraping through. The flipside of this however are the periods of calm where there really isn’t much going on, so if you’re not in the driving seat things can feel very sedate. There is definitely some jankiness, and it can at points feel difficult to handle. Dropping a plank of wood to make a ramp in exactly the right spot can often feel like a war of attrition against your patience. Perhaps this is the point, the looseness of the physics engine purposefully feeling a bit iffy in order to manufacture more moments of stress and therefore fun. I did encounter a few bugs, with a snake managing to headbutt my RV off a bridge the most notable. Infuriating or hilarious, depending on the circumstance. If you consider the price point, and the fact it’s on Game Pass, RV There Yet is ultimately a very fun way to waste a few hours with your mates.

It's a viral success that says more about us than about itself. We no longer want to arrive. We just want to watch the journey. We want to watch everything go wrong, preferably in real time. And in that way it feels like a game for our time.

RV There Yet? is a chaotic co op road trip where every moment is a mix of mud, mishaps, and laughs. It is not the deepest gam,e and it has a few rough edges, but the charm, the teamwork, and the unpredictable adventures make it a memorable experience with friends. It feels like the start of something bigger, but what is here is still a fun and lively ride.
