How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

“With daily challenges and quests that reward you the more you play, Naraka: Bladepoint is shaping up to be game that plans for set up shop and last for a while. No two rounds feel the same, and yet the familiarity of each one makes it easy to keep coming back for more. It’s not perfect, by any means, with its combat system offering a breath of fresh air but also leading to moments of frustration. Still, its emphasis on customization, melee combat, and some robust features turn it into one battle royale experience worth checking out.”

“Naraka: Bladepoint's movement and combat are beautifully fluid, and they give the battle royale more depth than any other. You will sink endless hours into soaring through above buildings and dueling with enemy ninjas. It only has a few minor technical issues that are bringing it down. If fixed, Naraka: Bladepoint will be around for a long, long time.”

“Naraka: Bladepoint is a fun 60-player battle royale. Unlike many other games in the genre, it focuses on melee combat and parkour-style movement. It's a punishing game, rewarding skill, preparation, and mastery of its core mechanics. Though fun, it quickly grows stale.”

“Here comes a new challenger at battle royale genre: Naraka: Bladepoint, equipping itself with simple and fast-paced stylish actions, has shown off its strength since its release.”

“Naraka: Bladepoint has potential. There are some originalities, and that’s one thing gamers thoroughly appreciate. However, I don’t think this game is ready to compete with the top dogs of Battle Royale gaming. It needs to give more to even be close to competing with the best in the genre.”

“Naraka: Bladepoint represents an interesting twist in the Battle Royal panorama, but it falls short in some of the core mechanics. The fluid combat system is great, but it becomes chaotic in more hectic situations. The visuals are stunning and music is on par. The business model is quite aggressive for a game that is not free to play. ”

“There’s a forethought and shrewdness required to be successful here that gives it a very different feel than any other battle royale title that’s out there at the moment, and the ancient Chinese aesthetic is a dazzling one. If nothing else, it’s enough to want to see what the game looks and feels like in the months to come.”

“Naraka: Bladepoint is a beautiful-looking and sounding game with some neat battle mechanics and fun martial arts action that is challenging to master. Finding opponents in your area may be tricky so being put against players from a different region with a higher ping rate feels unfair.”

“Nakara: Bladepoint (NB) is a TRADITIONAL BATTLE ROYALE (BR) as the most popular ones we got out there. You always drop on the same shrinking map, collect gear, weapons, and supplies of different levels and fight your way to be the last standing. What makes NB different is the MELEE COMBAT AND MOBILITY. Instead of shooting people down, you will be slashing and piercing them up. From a pool of heroes, you pick the one with the abilities that best suit your gameplay style and fight for victory on solos or trios matches. But don’t be fooled, NB’s combat is not just about mashing the buttons; timing, combos, and knowing how to move are essential to climbing up the ranks.”

“A battle royale game that's fun to play in a loose, aggressive style, with melee combat that's trickier than it may first appear.”

“Naraka: Bladepoint does have a lot of cool and unique ideas for the battle royale genre. I love its melee-focused combat, I love the varied weapon selection, and I dig the durability system replacing the "limited ammo" functions of other games in the genre. However the game's longevity suffers due to becoming stale quickly, the lack of variance in the core gameplay loop rearing its ugly head quickly. It's the kind of game I would absolutely recommend to a friend, but only for one or two matches at a time. For long marathon sessions, there are far better options. ”

“Naraka bladepoint is an enjoyable and different kind of battle royale. This game has fluid gameplay with strong RPG elements which make it so deep and addictive. Although it has its lacklusters like Bots in first matches and Vey expensive battlepass, i strongly recommend you to buy this 20 dollar battle royale”
