How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 72 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 26 times.

- 80Resonance: A Plague Tale LegacyAug 26, 2026 · Mostafa Zahedi
“Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy can be considered a bold and distinctive entry in the franchise, one that steps away from the established formula of the A Plague Tale series to deliver a linear, mysterious, and action-driven spin-off. The game excels in storytelling and building suspense, the island setting is visually stunning, the music and sound design are of commendable quality, and the combat system, despite becoming somewhat repetitive and lacking in innovation, remains enjoyable for a large portion of the experience. .”

“Captain Tsubasa 2 expands upon its predecessor and brings a host of improvements, yet it still falls short of perfection, with notable flaws in areas such as player and ball physics. If you're a die-hard fan of Tsubasa or looking to relive a dose of nostalgia, it's worth giving this title a try, though perhaps at a more reasonable price down the line.”

“The Sinking City 2 is a commendable Lovecraftian survival-horror title that successfully preserves the identity of its predecessor while seamlessly weaving it with the core tenets of the survival genre. Its narrative is gripping, and the environmental storytelling flourishes through atmospheric world-building, evocative sound design, and a fittingly haunting soundtrack. The survival mechanics are well-balanced, and exploring the city of Arkham serves as a superb conduit to engage with them. Nevertheless, The Sinking City 2 remains plagued by various technical and artistic shortcomings that ultimately keep it from ascending to higher echelons”

“Mortal Shell II is an ambitious soulslike that stands as a far more accomplished game than its predecessor; a game that, in nearly every facet, proves that Cold Symmetry has profoundly expanded upon its original vision. The deep and richly varied Shell system, the captivating arsenal of weapons, the treasure-laden exploration, the impressive diversity of enemies, the sprawling dungeons, the striking art direction, and the evocative score and sound design all coalesce into an experience that is as immersive as it is enthralling. Yet, persistent technical hiccups and bugs, occasional clumsiness in physics, uneven balancing in certain encounters, and a handful of other shortcomings hold the game back from realizing its full, dazzling potential.”

“Mistfall Hunter brings together a wealth of compelling ideas, and in certain areas, it succeeds in molding this fusion into a genuinely enjoyable experience. The engaging combat, diverse classes, expansive skill tree, satisfying loot system, and maps that constantly tempt players to take risks in search of better resources all contribute to a gameplay loop with considerable staying power. The dark fantasy atmosphere further bolsters this foundation, and despite its technical rough edges, the game's world possesses a commendable visual identity. However, the game's ambition doesn't always translate into success. The presence of only two maps, a lack of variety in content, the convoluted nature of certain menus and systems, minor issues with controls and environmental interaction, and most notably, shared loot among companions, all conspire to diminish the experience's long-term appeal, preventing it from living up to its initial promise.”

“Relic: The First Guardian has the foundations of a solid action RPG, with an impressive roster of over 70 unique bosses and a respectable variety of Relic-based abilities that keep major encounters engaging. Unfortunately, those strengths are constantly undermined by shallow combat mechanics, clunky animations, inconsistent voice acting, poor audio design, technical issues, and surprisingly amateur translation errors. Rather than a true Soulslike, this is a straightforward action game weighed down by an overwhelming number of avoidable flaws. With more polish, it could have been a pleasant surprise. Instead, it ends up as a frustrating experience that rarely allows its best ideas to shine.”

“Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is the definitive way to experience one of the franchise's most beloved adventures. It delivers thrilling naval battles, stunning visuals, smart improvements, and a world that's still a joy to explore. Despite a few shortcomings and technical issues, the overall experience remains exceptional and stays true to everything that made the original great.”

“Mina the Hollower can be considered an exceptional action-adventure platformer that, with its stunning artistic approach and superb music, not only tries to pay homage to some of the most prominent classics of the genre, but simultaneously delivers a highly polished and captivating experience. The city of Ossex and its inhabitants bring great vitality to the game's world, and interacting with the various characters can be very pleasing. The gameplay, relying on the principles of Soulslike titles, creates a highly challenging experience that occasionally suffers from imbalance in certain aspects, but remains enjoyable thanks to the solid depth of its systems.”

“007 First Light is one of those games that, after finishing it, makes you think: "Why don't they make more games like this?" It tells a remarkably captivating and engaging Bond story, featuring top-notch voice acting and performances that will keep you hooked from start to finish. Alongside its excellent narrative, the overall gameplay—brimming with stealth, interaction with spy gadgets, infiltration of various locations, and of course, the use of diplomatic and conversational skills—perfectly conveys the authentic feel of a true James Bond experience. Meanwhile, the chaotic action sequences, thanks to a dynamic and intertwined hand-to-hand combat and shooting system, allow you to make decisions on the fly, take action, and eliminate enemies in a variety of exciting ways. Finally, the diverse environments, superb atmospheric design, and iconic soundtrack come together to blend with all other aspects, creating an experience that you won't regret diving into.”

“Gothic Remake has both notable achievements and considerable shortcomings in its journey to remake one of the most enduring RPGs in history. While sporting a more modern look, the game still preserves the deep role-playing mechanics and high player agency in quest completion—qualities that, although entirely indebted to the classic original, are far less common in today's RPG landscape. On the other hand, however, some fundamental issues can significantly overshadow the experience and frustrate the player. Furthermore, the developers' excessive effort to remain faithful to certain aspects of the classic version has caused not only the positives but also the negatives—sometimes in even greater doses—to carry over into the remake, occasionally leaving an unpleasant impression on the player. This title may offer a modern-graphics experience of Gothic 1, but as a "remake," it fails to shine particularly brightly.”

“Legacy of the Dark Knght is a charming tribute to the legacy of the Dark Knight, putting you in control of Bruce Wayne/Batman from his childhood all the way to his prime as the Caped Crusader. By drawing from various sources, including the films and blending them with an original approach and a touch of humor, the game delivers an entertaining and engaging narrative. Its combat system, inspired by the Arkham trilogy, offers a seamless flow in battles and provides a more structured gameplay experience compared to previous installments. Finally, the developers' admirable finesse in crafting a dark yet vibrant Gotham City makes Legacy of the Dark Knight a must-play for Batman fans that absolutely shouldn't be missed.”

“After 5 years since the previous installment, Forza Horizon 6 brings transformations in several areas such as the campaign, progression system, and driving mechanics. This time, it takes players to Japan and builds a world that, in terms of detail, varied road scenarios, and stunning visuals thanks to the Japanese setting, can easily be considered a cut above the rest of the series, especially the fifth game. However, there are some technical graphical issues, and the AI occasionally shows problems just like in previous entries. Still, overall, it delivers the enjoyable and satisfying experience expected from an arcade racing title, offering you hours of driving and exploration through Japan's beautiful roads.”
