How this score was computed

The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

#DRIVE Rally is a little gem. User-friendly, stylish, immediate and entertaining, it perfectly embodies the qualities that made racing games famous a couple of decades ago. The magic of rally and offroad driving is condensed into a product that is still an embrional project, but promises plenty of growth in the months to come.

If you’re looking for more bite-sized racing moments for pick up and put down play this could work out, but in terms of satisfying racing it’s limited

Overall, there is some fun to be had in this game but, not for long periods of time. The lack of content and modes does seem to get repetitive in a short time.

The #DRIVE Rally impresses with its graphics and driving model, but disappoints with its lack of depth. It's a game for younger players or for a short session - 15 minutes and that's enough. Beautiful, but rather empty. With interesting music, but still problems with engaging content. On paper it looks impressive, in practice it still needs refinement. However, mainly only 5 people worked on the game, and despite everything it should be appreciated for many aspects.

It's all very disappointing because every facet of #DRIVE Rally is something that really could've been something special had it been thought through or fleshed out more than it was. The only strength is the game's presentation and art style, but when the remainder of the package is an arcade-style rally game that has no progression and a series of rough edges, it becomes impossible to want to keep playing for very long.

#DRIVE Rally offers an enjoyable arcade racing experience, featuring easy controls and stable technical performance. Despite the limited game modes, it remains a solid choice for those seeking a light, fast-paced experience without complications, successfully delivering the fun it sets out to provide.

A simple enough racer, #DRIVE Rally is the next evolution from Pixel Perfect Dude's last #DRIVE title. Whilst the racing is fun and competent, the lack of anything else to do might be a little off-putting. But for those that want cute arcade racing, this will get your engines revving.

Undemanding car races will suffice for less experienced racers, but they certainly won't inspire much enthusiasm. There are several shortcomings, including the weaker driving model.

#DRIVE Rally has a solid foundation, but it’s held back by a few key areas. While it’s a fun and easy-to-pick-up arcade racer, the lack of depth in some features and the occasional inconsistency in gameplay keep it from reaching its full potential. With more updates, it could easily improve, but for now, it’s a good, if slightly underwhelming, experience that is best suited for casual players looking for quick races rather than those seeking a deep, rewarding rally experience.

#DRIVE Rally is for those who love to set best times on online leaderboards. The game offers a solid racing experience with a good sense of speed. Outside of time trails, there’s little else in the way of goals and there’s limited customization. The talkative navigators, while an interesting idea, I feel will find themselves muted fast by most players. And those looking for a proper rally experience, be it arcade or otherwise, best look elsewhere.

#DRIVE Rally is a no-nonsense arcade racer that stands out for its simplicity, but ultimately doesn't offer enough to keep you coming back for more.

#DRIVE Rally is a nifty game that doesn’t provide much content, but you get polished and quality time with good physics and a linear championship schedule. The game doesn’t give much hassle in terms of playing, and you can easily breeze through it if you are competent with arcade racers.
