How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 195 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 68 times.

Outlet vs. players
Each dot is a game both this outlet and players scored. The dashed line is perfect agreement: dots above it mean the outlet was more generous than players, below it more harsh.

“Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is an incredible game from a clearly talented studio. While I did not get into the previous two games in the series, I always recognized their quality. This one though, really connected with me, and I loved it from start to finish.”

“Splatoon Raiders is my favorite game in the franchise and a wonderful trek into a new genre. I am glad Nintendo finally created a game that can be enjoyed without having to play online. I have always enjoyed the idea of Splatoon, just not its format. Playing with friends only enhances the experience, but it is just as fun when raiding solo. Definitely pick this one up, one of the best Switch 2 exclusive games so far.”

“Ground Zero Hero has taken over my free time as the game I play in spurts here or there. It is just as addictive as Vampire Survivor was when it first dropped but even more so.”

“70s Style Robot Anime: Geppy-X feels more like an experience mainly because it’s so much more than just the video game here. What makes this game succeed is the great combination of the anime visuals, music, and storytelling and without those crucial items, I doubt if Geppy-X sees a remaster in the first place.”

“I don’t think anyone is going to find anything exactly new in Twisted Tower, but I think that’s the point. It’s a throwback to some of the best parts of the seventh generation first person shooters mixed with the some of the best parts of what is now called “boomer shooters” and Twisted Tower blends them well. I liked what I played in the demo and I’m glad to see that it was indeed worth waiting for (there’s also like maybe a dozen people in the credits, so this clearly was a passion project). It’s some of the most fun I’ve had in a long time and it in no way overstayed its welcome like a lot of modern games do. I mean I’m literally playing it again after finishing it, I think that’s praise in itself.”

“Despite the issues with some parts of the presentation, Rhythm Heaven Groove is a great entry in the series, featuring a ton of catchy tunes and fun scenarios. It’s a welcome return to one of my favorite series and an easy game to recommend to just about anyone, regardless of their familiarity or skills with the genre.”

“I’m not going to sugar coat it, Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis: Next isn’t a great game. Sure, there is a few hours of fun to be had but after that you will more than likely never turn this on again.”

“At this point in 2026 I have played a lot of video games for review, and I haven’t even begun to think about my GOTY list. But I can tell you right now, without a shadow of a doubt that ReStory: Chill Electronics Repair will make my list. I found myself just enthralled with the gameplay and its loop; earning money to get better licenses, especially for stuff I actually owned. I cannot recommend ReStory enough, its blend of great vibes, chill music and wacky customers is just what the doctor ordered for a quiet night in.”

“Drug Dealer Simulator 2 is actually a prequel to the original which is wild because it’s so much grander than the first. Everything is bigger and bolder; players will have more options to expand their drug empires and in more meaningful ways.”
