Its four-character tag system feels fresh, the roster is varied, and the game offers a solid selection of single-player and multiplayer modes. However, the story campaign becomes repetitive very quickly, while the PC version's technical problems negatively affect the crossplay experience even on PS5. Despite these flaws, the outstanding gameplay makes Marvel Tokon a very easy game to recommend to fighting game fans.”

“This is a compilation of three quite distinct games that, while sharing the same theme and foundation, feature different mechanics. The Retro mode serves as a nostalgic nod to the original, whereas the Classic mode enhances and enriches the experience with new elements and improved gameplay. The Kingdom mode'with its dice and cards'is a completely different beast and will likely appeal only to a specific group of players. Overall, however, it is a legendary title presented in exceptional style.”
