How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

| All-time Steam reviews | 82% | 76 | 1000 |
| Metacritic user ratings | – | – | 0 |
| Post-patch Steam reviews (trust-weighted) | 88% | 81 | 265 |
| Calibration prior (typical game) | – | 72 | 50 |

“TerraTech Legion is an excellent entry into the world of Survivors-likes, and I'm so happy that it's actually adding something new to the genre, instead of just rehashing what we've already seen. Combat and driving feel good, building feels fantastic, and there's plenty of reasons to just keep mucking around with it, even if you do manage to complete all of the missions. It's just a joy, and one you shouldn't miss out on.”

“All in all, TerraTech Legion is definitely one of the most addictive and original bullet heaven/survivors-like games out there, and an excellent title for handhelds as well. A fun driving model, a deep and incredibly rewarding vehicle-building system, with plenty of challenging content to play for dozens of hours. It has a few balance issues, and it may lack the ludicrous depths of some of the best bullet-hell games, but its unique gameplay loop and deep build variety make TerraTech Legion pretty much a must-play for fans of the genre.”

“TerraTech Legion tries to stand out in a new genre by giving away a part of its soul to create novelty, exploiting the brand and its mechanics in something never tried by them.”

“Bring me back to my childhood by letting me build the most ridiculous and deadly vehicles I can. Then keep me engaged by turning it into a bullet hell roguelite? If this sounds good to you, then TerraTech Legion is right up your alley too. With vehicular combat at breakneck speed, simple progression and endless builds, this one is another Thumb Culture Platinum Award in my book!”

“TerraTech Legion is a fine blend of much-loved games and bullet hell mechanics. It is simple, hectic, and fun to play. I enjoyed it casually, but I can see hardcore fans playing it continuously.”

“TerraTech Legion comes with a simple concept, but there is just so much depth lurking under the surface. That gaming X-Factor is present here, pulling you in like there is no tomorrow. For simplicity and hook, TerraTech Legion nails it.”

“TerraTech Legion is fantastic fun, and whilst I found it a tad difficult to start with, it’s one of those that become more enjoyable the more you play. What I adored with this experience is that each run can feel hugely different depending on how you build your vehicle. There is a decent sense of progression in building up your character’s skill trees and then hitting another run to come back stronger when you fall. Having played this for in excess of twenty hours or so across Xbox Series X, Lenovo Legion Go and a gaming laptop, I have to say it handled well across all of them. It’s well worth a buy if you love the survivors-esque genre, and you can pick up a copy HERE for Xbox Series X/S. For less than a tenner, you’re getting your money’s worth for sure. If you have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, though, grab it right now and try it for yourself.”

“Out of all the Survivors-likes that I've played, TerraTech Legion stands out as one of the most unique and it's highly entertaining stuff indeed.”
