Ground Zero Hero doesn’t quite have the depth or variety of the genre’s bests, but for a handful of hours of radioactive fun I can absolutely recommend it to fans of survivors-like games.”

“It is a dated and beautiful game, for worse, and often for better. Can I recommend it to a player without a strong cultural memory of games of the era this was inspired by? That’s a tough one. But for anyone who remembers Jak, Ratchet, iNinja, Sphinx and Tak among others, with Duskfade, Weird Beluga have bottled that nostalgia, warts and all, and it’s not overused or repeated. In short – they don’t make them like this anymore.”

“ReStory is a chill repair shoppe simulator. It’s got a fairly accurate representation of how devices are actually repaired pat down, accompanied a pleasant visual style and a strange little story that moves along as you build up your corner store. Perfect for the dood that loves making old hardware talk or someone who just wants to get through their audiobooks but has the attention span of a cat sitting near a laser pointer and a box of treats. ∎”

“Beast of Reincarnation is a game of incredible highs and frustrating lows. Stilted dialogue mars competent voice acting, with bland city designs matched to incredible music remind me of Nier: Automata. The combat is fast, fluid, and feels fantastic. It is a wildly varying package when it comes to quality, and despite it all, I adored my time playing it. It is an experience few character action fans, with a ton of patience, should miss.”

“Truck-kun is Supporting Me from Another World?! is a short burst arcade insanity with a crazy premise, an addictive gameplay loop and an infectious humor. It may feel a little aimless after a while, and the game’s depth and variety are a little lacking, yet I’ve had a legitimate blast running through the just over 3 hours long campaign. Ever fantasized about isekai-ing a young marketing VP into a fantasy RPG world while doing deliveries in an acrobatic truck? No? Well, you still should give Truck-kun a go, especially if crazy arcade classics like Crazy Taxi are your jam.”
