How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

“Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is breathtaking. It's the real thing - a big old-school expansion that sometimes is even slightly better than Uncharted 4. The visuals are perfect, the shooting and stealth mechanics are almost as good, and there are many more puzzles than there is fighting. All of this is worthy of a blockbuster movie. Awesome!”

“Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is like a main entry in the franchise, but on a smaller scale. Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross are on par with Nathan Drake, being the main protagonists of a story where both characters' charisma is the main focus. Loads of action and visual luxury make this expansion another must, like Left Behind was back then. ”

“If there was ever any doubt of the talent at Naughty Dog, consider that Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was made in less than a year. This sensational spin-off not only beds in two of the franchise’s more mysterious characters, but it also gloriously repurposes several of the series’ best moments. As a pseudo-Greatest Hits, the title will do little to tempt those who’ve had their fill of treasure hunting, but at a budget price (with multiplayer included) then this is essential for fans of PlayStation’s most iconic brand. ”

“Uncharted: Lost Legacy is another Uncharted game, for better or worse. I loved its length and characters. I would love to see more spin-offs now that Nathan Drake’s journey has come to an end. I feel like we don’t get enough of these action adventure style titles and am always up for another one. I might say we don’t need another Uncharted game once again, but if the series returns, you know I will be first in line to eat my words.”

“Survival Arena alone isn't reason enough to pick up The Lost Legacy - especially since it's been made available to Uncharted 4 owners via update - but it, and the depth of the multiplayer as a whole, round out a solid standalone package. A great story with interesting characters and solid online play to extend the overall experience, this Uncharted is a little treasure in its own right.”

“If Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is Naughty Dog's last run at the series, then it is good to know that they ended their involvement on a high note. Everything that made the series so memorable is present, from the witty banter and deep characterization to the white-knuckle action. Chloe and Nadine make a perfect duo, so you aren't going to miss Sully and Nathan. The lone new change, the expansion to a semi-open world for a majority of the game, works since the world isn't too large, and it means side activities are part of the game. For action fans, The Lost Legacy is a title that can't be missed, even if it's your first foray into the game world.”

“Forget Nathan Drake and Chloe Fraser, if you managed to bag The Lost Legacy as part of Uncharted 4’s season pass then you’re the real thief here. There’s a staggering wealth of content to explore, the quality of which is easily on par with A Thief’s End. The stakes may not be as high, but it’s impossible not build a connection with Chloe and Nadine or revel in the set piece action and story surprises. As far as standalone expansions go, they don’t get more epic than this.”
