The focus is clearly on Guns of the Patriots, and it is evident that this title demanded the most resources, as it is far from a simple port. Nevertheless, that alone is enough to warrant a positive rating and keep spirits high despite the omissions—gaps that could well be filled in a third volume. In the meantime, it is time to enjoy a game that spent 18 years locked away on a single console. Long live Metal Gear Solid and the work of Hideo Kojima!”

“Is Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls better than Marvel vs. Capcom? It is hard to give a definite answer, but Arc System Works’ new game stands out on its own thanks to its excellent combat system, which is both accessible to newcomers and deep enough for veteran fans. It also has a beautiful visual style and plenty of single-player and multiplayer content. While the technical issues are a real problem and some design choices did not fully convince us, overall, this is a must-play for fighting game fans.”
