How this score was computed

The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

Forza Horizon 4 is the best game of the saga. With almost perfect gameplay and a variety of events that are distributed by a huge map. We will spend many hours driving in the UK and we will not get tired. Arcade driving for all audiences.

Overall Forza Horizon 4 is the greatest game I feel just kind of meh about. I mean there is absolutely nothing wrong with so many aspects of this title. It is polished, fun, smooth, and gorgeous. I think I am just growing tired of its structure. Still it feels like this title may see more updates than any previous entry. It has dozens of hours of content already packed into it. It is visually stunning and a blast to play with friends. It is hard not to love what Horizon 4 does.

The addition of seasons adds variety to the racing conditions to greatly expand the functionality of the already-large map.

Playground Games has gone further, improving the already huge third chapter in every single component. The dynamic seasons, the shared world, the magnificent graphics and the fulfilling driving model are enough to wipe out the competition and make Forza Horizon 4 a must buy for all Xbox One and PC owners.

While it’s easy to find areas to improve, the British countryside is gorgeous, the driving is incredibly well-balanced, and seasons have been masterfully implemented, allowing for more variety than ever before. Make no mistake that Forza Horizon 4 is one of the most comprehensive and polished racing games ever made.

A changing world and opportunities to find or build your perfect rides make Forza Horizon 4 near endlessly enjoyable. While a safe follow-up to Horizon 3, the core "casual simulation" formula doesn't need much tuning.

The game is a stunning achievement, so far ahead of any racing title or driving sim on the market, it’s bordering on obscene.
