How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

“Zombieland: Headshot Fever Reloaded is a decently fun light-gun-style VR game that fails to offer anything new or groundbreaking. It's a good way to spend a few hours but not much more. ”

“In the end, we were pleasantly surprised with Zombieland, even if it doesn't really lean on any form of movie-based nostalgia. Its simple yet effective structure meant that we were happy to sink yet another half hour into it, which was only aided by the enjoyable gun controls. It’s certainly not out to win any awards, and it doesn’t push the medium any further, but if you’re looking for a straight-to-the-point zombie shooter, you can’t really go wrong.”

“Zombieland: Headshot Fever Reloaded is a new VR version of the action game Headshot Forever, which draws from the history and gameplay of similar games like House of the Dead. The game features a unique "family" of characters who have banded together to survive the zombie apocalypse, led by the tough but lovable Tallahassee. The game includes both training and mission modes, with missions growing increasingly difficult as you progress through the game's characters. Overall, the game offers a fun and challenging zombie-slaying experience for VR players.”

“A brightly coloured, cel-shaded zombie shooting gallery, that feels a more solid package than the Oculus Quest original and successfully channels the simplistic fun of 90s lightgun games.”

“For fans of on-rails shooters like House of the Dead, Zombieland: Headshot Fever Reloaded is an excellent modern-day equivalent. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never seen the movies: this is a perfectly good standalone zombie-shooting romp, made better than ever thanks to the performance and fidelity boost offered by PSVR 2.”

“Shooting zombies is still popular and in virtual reality, it's a bit more intense. In Zombieland: Headshot Fever Reloaded, you get an optimised version of the already released game. In it, you are introduced to pick-up-and-play gameplay, various weapons, perks and other features, making the action very varied and fun. The gameplay is also good that a downside is the number of levels, as you want more: which is a good sign.”

“A solid VR shooter that taps into what made the arcade experience so engrossing. Its art style is distractingly bland in places, but the meat of the game is about blasting zombies for a high score, so it certainly isn’t as noticeable when the cartoon claret is spraying in slow motion.”

“Zombieland: Headshot Fever Reloaded is a great VR shooter with precise shooting, good enemy variety, a nice cel-shaded art style, and near infinite replayability. While the base campaign is short, the multiple goals, B-side levels, upgrades, and leaderboards help to flesh out the game and provide a compelling reason to continue jumping back into the chaos long after you first complete the levels.”

“It’s superb fun, and while it doesn’t have the authentic voices, you won’t care when you’re shooting the shit out of zombies galore with a fully max-upgraded pistol. This is one of the best PSVR2 game so far, and the one I keep coming back to, it’s just that much fun.”

“Zombieland: Headshot Fever Reloaded is by no means a transformative game, but it is exactly the sort of game that the launch of PS VR2 needs.”

“Zombieland: Headshot Fever Reloaded is a solid arcade-style shooter that'll put your skills to the test whether you're trying to climb the leaderboards or master all of the challenges for each stage. It's quite inconsistent, though, so be ready for some frustrations.”
