How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 45 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 6 times.

- 80Cronos: The New DawnSep 8, 2025
“With Cronos: The New Dawn, Bloober Team has crafted a brilliant survival horror title, with a unique premise, an intriguing story, and a truly captivating setting. The Orphans are a challenging enemy that not only keeps you on the edge of your seat but also forces you to carefully manage every bullet. The varied way you explore the world also deserves praise. It's clear the studio wanted to push the creative envelope. Unfortunately, the technical side of things is far from perfect, with graphics that aren't always convincing and a frame rate that occasionally dips. Don't let that deter you, though. Cronos: The New Dawn is more than worth your hard-earned money and precious time.”

“Hell is Us isn't a one-size-fits-all game, and that's precisely what makes it so powerful. Rogue Factor clearly poured a lot of love into its production. The game relies on you to take the time to explore, solve puzzles, and find your way, sometimes leading you to get lost in the beautiful environments, each with its own unique story. The combination of mystery and unknowing, the unique environments, an interesting combat system, and the immersive audiovisual experience give the game its unique character. While a bit more variety in weapons and enemies wouldn't have hurt, these elements more than compensate. Combined with a relatively reasonable price tag, Hell is Us delivers an unforgettable experience that's both challenging and memorable, provided the game's premise appeals to you. A clear recommendation.”

“The gameplay of Killing Floor 3 is perfectly fine with above-average combat. In addition, the range of maps and weapons is also very varied, which adds to the fun, and the soundtrack deserves a special mention as it fits perfectly. However, we cannot ignore the fact that in terms of content, it is still a bit thin at the moment, and the story also lacks depth. Finally, the performance could be improved. So there are a few points of criticism to take into account. However, the history of this developer with previous games teaches us that it will ultimately be rectified.”

“Wuchang: Fallen Feathers offers a compelling story with deep lore, although it does take a while to get going. Nevertheless, the game has plenty to offer in terms of combat, level design, challenge, and interesting systems to keep the gameplay varied. Technically, it falls a little short due to low resolutions and inconsistent textures, but ultimately that doesn't detract from the pure gameplay, which is more than solid.”

“Donkey Kong is getting his own 3D action-adventure, and it turns out great. The level destruction feels satisfying, the stages are varied, the presentation is vibrant and colorful, and there’s an incredible amount to do. The fact that the game might be a bit on the easy side is a shame in terms of challenge, but that’s literally the only point of criticism. Looking for an excellent game for the Nintendo Switch 2? Then Donkey Kong Bananza is an absolute must-play.”

“Did you enjoy the original games? Then this is definitely recommended thanks to the nostalgia it brings. The visual upgrade does the game justice, the gameplay is delightful as ever and there is once again a huge amount to experience, thanks in part to a number of new levels. It's a shame, though, that the original soundtrack has been changed except for a few tracks, which may feel a bit weird for players of the original. But we can live with that, considering the rest of the game is more than fine.”

“With the second installment, Kojima builds on the basics of the original, but also manages to surprise with a rock-solid story, memorable characters, a beautiful game world, lots of features and so on. It's Kojima all over again, resulting in a brilliant game that's absolutely worth playing, with the note that the combat feels a bit uncomfortable, but that's okay considering the overall quality is top notch.”

“A cooperative multiplayer game in the Elden Ring universe, something new for FromSoftware and it's panning out well. The game has a high addiction factor due to its interesting gameplay loop, the bosses are fantastic and the interplay with different characters makes for an engaging gameplay dynamic. Take note, however, that the frame rate is not stable and if you are a solo player, the game feels different given its focus on co-op. Nevertheless, Elden Ring: Nightreign feels like a fresh new breath of fresh air in a familiar universe that we can recommend to any player of the original.”

“The game comes with an immense amount of content and fine gameplay that will keep you playing. In the process, the performance is excellent which ensures an optimal gaming experience. Lover of the franchise and plenty of diversity in activities? Then this game is just right for you, although don't expect too much from the story. Also, the camera is sometimes a bit annoying, but you can live with that since the rest of the game is more than fine.”

“Mario Kart is back with a brand new installment that basically offers more of the same, supplemented with all sorts of new elements. The Knockout Tour is wonderfully chaotic, the large roster of characters and karts is fantastic, the multiplayer is top notch entertainment, and there is a large world that you can freely traverse to explore. Too bad that that world is so big that it's a bit barren in terms of activities, and it's also a missed opportunity that you can't free-roam in multiplayer in a normal way, but other than that Mario Kart World is a fantastic game that we can recommend to every Switch 2 owner.”

“F1 25 makes several new steps forward. For example, you can drive tracks backwards and the application of LIDAR to scanning certain tracks makes for an even better experience. Graphically, the game also takes a step forward and Braking Point is back. In short, plenty of reason to recommend the game, although there are certainly areas for improvement.”

“The new MotoGP is again just a little more accessible and graphically there is also a good step forward. On top of that, the AI also offers just a little more challenge, making the spectacle on the track look impressive. On the downside, the AI sometimes goes a bit too far and the content is mostly more of the same compared to previous years. ”

“Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is Sandfall Interactive's debut game, and what a debut! The engaging emotional story grabs you right away, the combat is delightful and the unique play styles for each character make it continuously interesting. Add to that a wonderful soundtrack and brilliant experience and it could hardly get any better. That there are some minor flaws we'll take for granted, because this game is definitely worth it.”

“The Doom Slayer is back in yet another violent and fast-paced adventure that stands out in the medieval setting. With new elements such as the shield and dragon, the game brings innovation that makes for a lot of fun. Also because the game is packed with content and technically excellent performance. The story on the other hand is not really special and in essence it is mostly more of the same, but don't let that stop you from playing the game.”

“Atomfall presents you with an engaging setting containing exciting situations and interesting gameplay. Because the game is non-linear in structure, the experience will be different for each player, which gives Atomfall a unique twist. Add to that good voice-acting and varied soundtrack and the complete adventure is very solid. Though you should expect some cumbersome combat, less-than-perfect stealth and some inconsistent stealth, that's no reason to skip the game though.”
