How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

| Metacritic user ratings | – | – | 0 |
| Post-patch Steam reviews (trust-weighted) | 88% | 82 | 299 |

“Terra Memoria is a small, but addictive RPG that I can recommend with a clear conscience. It's a title that is correct in every aspect and gives a ton of pleasure, but in the end it leaves a feeling that it could have been something more. Despite this disappointment, it is worth taking an interest in this production.”

“While perhaps its best quality is its charm, there’s just something special about the vibe of Terra Memoria”

“Terra Memoria epitomizes the core appeal of RPGs. The narrative is functional yet captivating, the characters are charming, and the world is intricately crafted. Although the combat might seem monotonous to some, and the third act appears somewhat hurried, the total experience is highly rewarding for RPG enthusiasts.”

“What ultimately holds Terra Memoria back from greatness is its reluctance to take risks. While its familiar story beats and character dynamics are well-executed, they rarely surprise or challenge players' expectations. The game is content to be comfortable rather than revolutionary, which isn't necessarily a negative, but it does limit its impact on the genre.”

“Overall, while there were some flaws to my time in Terra Memoria, I'm glad I was able to experience this captivating world which was full of great ideas, beautiful art, and an entertaining combat system. Some aspects felt not fully realized, but hopefully this means the developer is just getting started.”

“Terra Memoria is a fun turn-based RPG with six playable characters, each with their own unique looks and skills. Terra Memoria tells a unique story of a world with interesting issues and some crazy inhabitants and features a few satisfying things to do such as battling, crafting, and cooking. It is a game well worth giving a shot.”

“Terra Memoria does a great job at presenting its story, characters, and combat in a very easy-to-read package, making it a fun almost bite-size adventure that is certainly worth the journey.”

“All of that said, I came in wanting to like Terra Memoria, and in the end, I still mostly do. It’s chunky, yes, and the tone is sometimes a little off, maybe it’s the South Park exhaustion, but a subplot about ‘they took our jobs’ didn’t hit quite the right note for me when it was introduced, but its charm really is undeniable. The game is just too bright, breezy, and pretty to stay cranky, and its flaws can be soothed by taking breaks and coming back to it when you’re ready. The world building is also something that the developers put a lot of care into, and that’s also a delightful surprise. I’d be thrilled to revisit these characters and their quirky, magitek-laden world again in the future. It’s an indie delight, through and through, and I’m happy to say that, yup, it gets the green”

“Terra Memoria is a fun and well-edited RPG title, especially visually, which takes us back to the 90s, although it is not without design flaws and superfluous elements.”

“In addition to the most basic messages about the scarcity of the natural world, exaggerated dependence on non-renewable energy sources, and lack of harmony with natural life, TERRA MEMORIA is a journey of self-discovery and getting to know a world for each of these characters and for us. I really got to immerse myself in a nice, cozy adventure and I got to enjoy the journey with each of these friends I made.”
