How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.
| Component | Positive | Quality (0-100) | Weight (pseudo-reviews) |

| All-time Steam reviews | 82% | 76 | 1000 |
| Metacritic user ratings | – | 80 | 7 |
| Post-patch Steam reviews (trust-weighted) | 88% | 82 | 3 |

“Stasis delivers one of the best P&C atmospheres we have seen in years, with great 2D visuals and carefully designed locations packed with detail. A must for every fan of SF horror games.”

“Stasis is a well made adventure game with a great atmosphere and an excellent setting, reminiscent of Alien movies. It's a game that doesn't try to revolutionize the genre or to compete with classics - it should simply deliver a decent amount of fun to adventure and sci-fi horror enthusiasts. It's a shame that many smaller and bigger issues can kill almost all the fun.”

“While, once it gets rolling, this offers up a pretty solid sci-fi horror adventure, the console-style controls, some presentation shortcomings, and often haphazard puzzle design detract from its strengths”

“Stasis is a point-and-click adventure that fans of science fiction horror will want to check out, especially if Stasis: Bone Totem was enjoyed. These games can be played in any order, but Stasis’ focused setting and shorter length make it the more appealing place to start. It will shock in most places, but its twisted plot will keep everyone engaged to the end. It has been adapted well for Nintendo Switch, despite some minor issues. Just make sure to go into Stasis for the story before anything else and prepare to think about it for a while afterwards.”

“Stasis is an intricately crafted adventure game that plays skillfully on the borders of horror and science fiction. Rational puzzles and elaborate world building will accompany you, while you plunge more and more intro decadence and decay. The Brotherhood should be proud of their achievement, given the fact that renowned adventure game creators with plenty of resources at their disposal have failed to deliver on their initial promise. Stasis delivers in spades and whets our appetite for the studio's future works.”

“There are some issues but overall this is a unique experience that deserves to be played.”

“Now, I can safely sit Stasis right next to SOMA as two completely different sci-fi horror experiences that bring their respective genres forward, and a new standard in sci-fi horror gaming.”

“Stasis provides few hours of an engaging, dark adventure. Developers managed to create a poignant atmosphere, and even create fear - all in isometric perspective, unusual for a horror game. Traditional mechanics can be a put-off for people not used to traditional point'n'click games.”

“While The Brotherhood perfected its technique with Stasis: Bone Totem, Stasis is well worth a visit for point-and-click horror game fans. Its port to console is a little clunky, but the writing and atmosphere make Stasis well worth the time.”

“A gloriously depressing psychological horror tale, conveyed with the visual style of Fallout and the mechanics of Monkey Island.”

“STASIS is visually well made and has some great atmospheric elements, but the annoying dialogue and preachy story drag it down a lot.”

“Not very original, sometimes of a bit clumsy adventure game, that offers a classic gameplay and captivates especially with excellent atmosphere. [Issue#256]”
