How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

“As exciting the title itself may sound, Dungeon Rushers lacks a fast pace or even a great deal of excitement. It’s a pretty safe experience with a fair art style, a decent sense of humor, and satisfying though generic combat. Probably best for playing lazily while doing something else it may have an audience but there are simply better options on the platform than this.”

“Despite Dungeon Rushers' many, many technical flaws, the core experience is solid. I can't recommend this game to everyone, but hardcore RPG fans looking for a simple, no-pressure RPG to play while watching TV should consider Dungeon Rushers.”

“If you’re in the mood for a simple dungeon crawler to kill a few minutes, Dungeon Rushers is nicely affordable. Anyone else, you might want to upgrade to Hero Quest. You’ve got a few friends right?”

“There are some creative elements to Dungeon Rushers, but it's really nothing too impressive being an alright time.”

“In Dungeon Rushers you start with one character, Elian. He is a young lad who works as a toilet cleaner and has decided he has had enough of the rat race and the daily grind. One morning he makes a big decision to join the community of dungeon looters (like you would do) to make life more interesting. Dungeon Rushers is part of the Indie Gems Bundle JRPG recently released. Fans of tactical games will like what both Dungeon Rushers and Robothorium offer in terms of gameplay, though it might be a good idea to wait until the game gets an update. It has a tendency to shut down in between gameplay at the moment of writing (February 2020). However, the core gameplay is very good!”

“Dungeon Rushers is a fun and very addictive turn-based dungeon crawler you'll have a lot of fun with on PlayStation 4. There's a ton of content to enjoy, several characters to create your party with, and their separate skill trees and unique skills will allow you to find the right combination for the hundreds of battles you will take on, which makes this a solid dungeon crawler with a good asking price for the many hours of fun you'll get out of your purchase.”

“Goblinz Studios' tactical RPG for iOS and Android is tough but fair, offering exactly zero avenues that allow players to pay to win”

“Despite all that it’s lacking, such as an interesting stories and characters, sophisticated or innovative combat mechanics, and compelling game-play outside of the dungeon, Dungeon Rushers can provide an entertaining experience for genre fans. It’s chock full of humor, has a colorful nostalgic visual style and has solid combat mechanics offering a decent challenge.”

“For the most part, I really did enjoy my time in Dungeon Rushers. The game is funny, has solid combat, a crafting system, and fully customizable skill tree for the whole party. If you're looking for something you can just jump in and out of, it's certainly not a bad game and it's at its best in bite sized gaming.”

“Gameplay in Dungeon Rushers is fun, easy to start and enjoyable to play. I really liked the campy dialogue and innocent approach to a diverse dungeon crawling genre. The crafting was designed well to accompany the materials acquired from grinding through the game. Unfortunately, with strong enemies appearing early and often, balancing is a serious issue, one that requires needless visits to small dungeons. Forcing players to replay dungeons so early on impeded my progress, and ultimately deterred me from playing further. It just seems to me that the developers missed the point with their own hero-parody style and missed an opportunity. If it was a short dungeon crawler, it wouldn’t really be in the same genre, but more enjoyment could be had if I could actually progress through the game.”
