How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 3 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 1 time.

Outlet vs. players
Each dot is a game both this outlet and players scored. The dashed line is perfect agreement: dots above it mean the outlet was more generous than players, below it more harsh.

“Thimbleweed Park is a classic point-and-click adventure about classic point-and-click adventures for lovers of classic point-and-click adventures who have played all the classic point-and-click adventures. If you belong to that rather tight target group, then this is a fantastic game.”

“Sundered: Eldritch Edition is one of the best platformers I've played this year, it has all the great platformer elements and entertains without fail. I feel like the enemies could have been improved as the balance just isn't there, but as a whole, it doesn't make that much of an impact against the overall experience. In terms of audio, the soundtrack is beautiful and Canadian film composer Max LL did a wonderful job.”

“Mixes bland enemies and environments with spectacular bosses, playable characters and effects. Repetitive and sometimes a chore but the story is worth SOME of it.”

“Assassins' Creed: Odyssey tells an epic, winding tale befitting the lesser bards of the classical era - no mean feat for a video game. That it's based in one of the most beautiful maps ever made is also nice, obviously.”
