How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.
| Component | Positive | Quality (0-100) | Weight (pseudo-reviews) |

| All-time Steam reviews | 90% | 84 | 248 |
| Metacritic user ratings | – | – | 0 |
| Post-patch Steam reviews (trust-weighted) | 100% | 97 | 0 |

“Puzzle Dimension is one of those puzzle games that is perfect for fans of the genre. It's full of charm and challenge, and some levels are so difficult that it's an incredible rush when they're successfully solved. This is not a game for those looking for a casual mind teaser, but it's just about perfect for those who prefer the difficulty level turned all the way up to eleven. ”

“It's the beautiful next-gen graphics, music and sounds which the developers can be proud of showing to people, easy and intuitive controls and an "oldie but goldie" game-idea that will make Puzzle Dimension a 3D puzzle platformer, which will definitely stay without equal for quite a bit of time.”

“A simple idea that is acted upon with great focus and substantial ingenuity to produce a complex and compelling puzzle game.”

“Although Puzzle Dimension really needed online leaderboards and a level editor to make it a complete experience, it's still a fun and engaging game well worth the $10 price tag. The levels are masterfully balanced and the visuals are stirring, making for an impressive overall package. ”

“Mental acrobats will get a good workout. [Oct 2011, p.105]”

“Puzzle Dimension is a beautiful puzzle game where you guide a marble around in a three dimensional labyrinth. The gameplay is good but perhaps a bit too repetitive to be truly great. The PSN version surprisingly lacks online leaderboards, an omission that also subtracts from the overall impression.”

“Puzzle Dimension is a highly enjoyable experience that is remarkably beautiful and totally engaging with its challenging puzzles. The puzzle designs are ingenious and sometimes frustrating, but once you solve them its instant gratification. This is Doctor Entertainment's first release and if their next one is as stunning as Puzzle Dimension I will definitely be on the bandwagon. I highly recommend picking up Puzzle Dimension for some pure fun in a dimension all its own.”

“In general, a fun game with interesting puzzles, but with its load times and other competition in the market, it might not be worth the $9.99.”

“The eye-catching visuals and easy controls might draw anyone in, but if you are not in it for the grinding long-haul, you may want to get your puzzle fix elsewhere.”
