How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.
| Component | Positive | Quality (0-100) | Weight (pseudo-reviews) |

| Metacritic user ratings | – | – | 0 |
| Post-patch Steam reviews (trust-weighted) | 69% | 67 | 8 |

“A chilled narrative text adventure set in a dystopian technological future that could be closer than it seems. It may be niche, but it doesn't outstay its welcome.”

“Neo Cab has its fair share of awkward encounters as you explore the futuristic city of Los Ojos, but more often than not, these will develop into genuinely meaningful conversations that - despite the game’s limited graphical capabilities - make its citizens feel real. ”

“Its several systems gracefully combine to create a cog that you want to keep turning until you reach the end. Ultimately, most of us are just cogs in a larger machine operated by those at the top. Neo Cab chooses to see the importance of the little cogs, and that's why it'll stick with me.”

“Neo Cab is exactly how you would expect it to be, with a little extra that makes it really noteworthy, at least for fans of graphic adventures and/or futuristic themes. The Feelgrid is something really new in the genre (which is not so easy nowadays) that makes it different from the other titles like that.”

“When it comes to cyberpunk stories/adventures who knew that the Switch would slowly end up with a collection of them of sorts? I suppose the neon-tinged visuals and semi-futuristic settings that are then possible allow for exploring slightly different narrative territory, and that’s something that Neo Cab does well...”

“It's completely understandable why Neo Cab wouldn't be for everyone. A completely unique experience of this kind could alienate, and make it difficult to justify taking a punt without an in-depth examination of what to expect. ”

“A short but entertaining and beautiful look at cyberpunk dystopia, through the unlikely lens of a gig economy taxi driver.”

“At the end of a long shift, Neo Cab's strong writing and effective story-telling make it well-worth hailing.”

“Neo Cab makes me wish that big-budget publishers did games of this nature.”

“Neo Cab asks a lot of interesting questions about precariousness, automation, social control through technology, data usage, and especially how to hold on to your humanity in a monopoly under unregulated capitalism. The execution of the game is questionable, but it can be worth it to give it a look for fans of narrative-focused experiences.”

“Neo Cab is a smart visual novel that looks forward, but also feels very current.”

“Neo Cab tries to act deep and some people may very well believe its acting with all the blue and purple lights, but at best it’s quite cliché and at worst it’s just shallow and superficial.”
