How this trust score was computed
This reviewer publishes verdicts, not numbers, so trust comes from their recommend/pan calls: call accuracy (50%): when they say buy, do players end up satisfied, and when they say skip, do players agree; alignment (25%): do their recommendations sort games the way players do; and player-side (25%): on games where press and players sharply disagreed, whose side were they on. The blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small histories can't peg the scale, and recent verdicts weigh more (2-year half-life).
Controversy record: on 2 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 1 time.

- 60The Swords of Ditto: Mormo's CurseMay 5, 2018 · Hendrik Müller
“The Swords of Ditto wants to squeeze the whole Zelda-Formular into a short RPG with cuddly graphics. The whole effort falls rather short, as the established elements from the Legend of Zelda series are not enough to carry the game. There's a constant lack of fresh, inspired or original gameplay to give the game a charme of its own.”

“God of War gets out of its own comfort zone and walks the line between old and new, giving the old “Ghost of Sparta” a metaphorical facelift without scaring off fans of the original trilogy. Even though the plot is not going to win any awards for originality, the tale of father and son simply gets to you. The gameplay is smooth and intuitive and does not only look good but also feel god which makes God of War a possible contestant for Game of the Year 2018.”

“Frostpunk creates a great concept for a city building game. Unfortunately it lacks of long term motivation and variety and therefore spoils way too fast. The potential is there though and with enough additions to the core it can become an amazing game.”

“Minit takes an interesting approach with it's one minute timelimit but doesnt do much interesting stuff with it. In the end most aspects of the game suffer from that mechanic and the game collapses on it's own unique mechanic.”

“Far Cry 5 seamlessly fits itself into the franchise. The beautiful open world, an oddly charismatic antagonist and a variety of missions ensure hours of gameplay. Unfortunately, Ubisofts newcomer has a few shortcommings, which show as the game progresses. Re-used character models, searching for sidequests and, most saddening, microtransactions for getting equipment early on, belittle the gaming experience, which can even be enjoiyed in coop. As for tinkerers, Far Cry 5 with its "Arcade" provides a sheer endless amount of maps and quests, which are built by players around the globe or yourself.”

“A Way Out isn't perfect, but it comes really close. The forced Multiplayer leads to some really special gameplay ideas and gets you emotionally bonded to both characters. Stunning One-Shots and amazing panoramas show the artistic talent of the studio and the story carries some really exciting twists and turns. Only some technical diffuclties probably caused by low budget take one scorepoint from A Way Out's Score.”

“Yakuza 6: The Song of Life isn't just the final chapter of the Kazuma Kiryu saga, but also one of the best titles of the whole series. The story is well written and wonderfully executed. Both of the locations in the game, the red-light district Kamurocho and the harbor town Onomichi, are beautifully crafted. For the first time all of the characters are fully voiced, even the ones in sub-stories. Also, there is lots to do besides fighting gangsters, like playing arcade games or flirting with hostesses. Small hiccup: The animations in the sub-stories are a little bit rough. Besides that it's a perfect finale for the Dragon of Dojima.”
