How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

“Much of its appeal may go missing on those that aren't in love with the source material, but everyone else should give this a look.”

“If you’re looking for even more pinball in your life, these are some good ones to add to the collection, just keep in mind, you may want to turn the volume down unless you enjoy being annoyed.”

“It's the best South Park pinball ever. What else do you need?”

“Unless you’re a fan of the South Park universe, you’re probably not going to be able to dive into this game. For me, although it’s a ton of fun and bright and cheery, after a while the potty humour and same quips and jokes became somewhat wearisome. ”

“The South Park add-on is yet another great addition to the Zen Pinball platform. The main table is filled with memorable lines, classic characters and fun missions that South Park fans will love. The second table is a bit low on content, but it’s still entertaining and good for newcomers. It’s a shame that the table don’t include more of the series offensive humor, but it’s a small complaint on an otherwise excellent package.”

“Zen Studios has adapted the series and put it inside two pinball machines. They are very entertaining but very chaotic at times. Especially the sounds are chaotic and annoy easily. Worth buying.”

“Zen Pinball’s South Park offering isn’t perfect but it will serve as a lovely addition to its already robust catalog of tables.”

“The only gripes I would have to say I have with South Park Pinball is as follows: A) there only 2 tables, and I’m not sure if it was a decision based on popularity or what, but it would have been nice to have at least one more to choose from in this universe. B) South Park is an undoubtedly politically incorrect game full of dirty words and don’t go there humor, and these two tables are very PG to say the least. ”

“Fans of the long-running TV series will get a kick out of the cameos and inside jokes, but everybody else will be left scratching their heads.”

“Zen Studios seems to have an almost uncanny ability to understand what makes big franchises tick and appeal to large numbers of gamers, and then take the concepts and create impressive tables based around them.”
