How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 19 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 3 times.

- 80Halo 5: GuardiansOct 26, 2015
“Halo 5: Guardians is an entertaining action adventure whose fate rests on whether the online mode works or not (still to early to raise the green flag). Besides that, it's a really well made Halo game. The graphics are detailed, and the frame rate is smoother that ever. The campaign is solid enough, but lacks those memorable moments that defined the first couple of games in the series. ”

“Hearts of Stone is an outstanding expansion and yet another testament to CD Projekt RED:s masterful storytelling. Interesting characters and clever dialogue help to create a dark and engaging adventure that no fan of the main game ought to miss.”

“Guitar Hero : Live is a comprehensive title, with several really interesting features. It contains a really entertaining online mode, and a pretty nice new guitar. But at the same time, we learned this concept already several years ago, and despite a long break, it is doubtful that the craving has come back.”

“Frictional Games delivers yet another great horror game. On top of the scary monsters and scream-out-loud-moments we’re accustomed to it’s also a deep journey into both the protagonists and the players mind, with many philosophical and moral questions that both frightens and fascinates.”

“The Nathan Drake Collection is an ambitious collection, that includes three of the best action adventure games from the last generation. What makes the collection better than the average remaster is the improvements, that the developer Blueprint have added. The graphics are almost as good as many of the games today, and the controls have gotten an improvement.”

“The Taken King is an expansion that transformers Destiny into the game it should have been a year ago. The new content is more thought out and gives the end game a much needed boost of variety. Perfect gameplay is something that Destiny has had since day one. With The Taken King the contents is starting to get to the same level.”

“Disney Infinity 3.0 might be bit uneven, but it still manage to entertain greatly thanks to enjoyable combat and creative content. While the game boasts several different characters it is apparent that Star Wars hold the centre stage, although that is not a bad thing at all since well-made Star Wars games for the entire family is a rare sight.”

“NHL 16 might be a more complete game than NHL 15 was, but the series still lack the possibility to play good defense, and still struggles with its AI. NHL 16 is a good hockey game, but could be so much better with only a few changes.”

“With a stunning graphic style and an impressive combat system, Platinum Games take on the Transformers license is a must for Transformers fans. In some ways it is apparent that the development time has been limited, but that does not prevent Transformers Devastation from being the best Transformers game yet.”

“By taking a step away from hours of cutscenes and codec conversation, and instead focusing on pure gameplay, Metal Gear Solid V is an unfamiliar but ultimately great and lengthy experience. It would have been nice with some more time spent on the characters and story, but it is a fair compromise with the new open world direction. Metal Gear Solid V is a great evolution for the series and it is a shame that the new direction will not reach its full potential due to Konami's probable withdrawal from the console world.”

“When it’s at its top, Mad Max is a action packed game, set in a beautiful post apocalyptic world. Unfortunately the combat mechanics, the mission design and the story aren't just there. Mad Max is overall an entertaining game, but it never reaches its full potential.”

“Tearaway was one of the most charming games in 2013, and thanks to this remake it may well also be so this year. With its flaws and all, it's still a little gem, and for those who missed it then it's definitely time now.”
