How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

“Lawn Mowing Simulator is an interesting title at first glance, which attracts players primarily by its focus, and after our review we have to say that we were pleasantly surprised in some ways. I can assure you that this is not just another bizarro game, and if some aspects were handled better, Lawn Mowing Simulator could be a good simulator as well. What we must clearly highlight are the licensed machines and their processing, especially in terms of sound, and the presence of some details, such as setting the mower to a certain type of vegetation. However, the same old gameplay and terrible optimization make the title just a mediocre piece that will probably stop being fun for most players after a few hours. We recommend the game only if you have a powerful enough machine and for some reason don't want to play Farming Simulator or some other, better title.”

“I didn’t expect to enjoy Lawn Mowing Simulator this much. It’s not as “in depth” as other sims of the genre like Bus Simulator or Farming Simulator. But still, it’s a very good game if you just want to mow the lawn and have a genuine relaxing time. Just try not to hit the flowers!”

“Ultimately, I have mixed feelings about Lawn Mowing Simulator. On the one hand, the gameplay gets a bit monotonous after the first few levels, and building up your company requires quite a bit of grinding. But, it does exactly what you would expect in terms of offering a game about mowing people's gardens, maximising the laid-back vibes of cutting grass with a powerful machine.”
