How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.
| Component | Positive | Quality (0-100) | Weight (pseudo-reviews) |

| Metacritic user ratings | – | – | 0 |
| Post-patch Steam reviews (trust-weighted) | 92% | 86 | 1 |

“PAC-MAN MUSEUM+ an easy recommendation to make, not just for Pac-Man fans, but for fans of retro gaming in general and a great way to get into one of the medium’s most important most important series.”

“For fans of Pac-Man and his historical pedigree, this is the best round-up yet, spanning decades and featuring his most notable titles. It's the kind of collection the current Wonder Boy release should have been. The arcade overworld is a nice touch, although the frame rate is a big letdown and really should have been ironed out. And, while you might spend a while tinkering and designing your arcade space, the attraction of the gimmick is ultimately short-lived. Presentation deficiencies aside, though, one can't really fault the comprehensiveness of the collection, nor the quality of the titles themselves (well, except Pac in Time). It's a Pac-festival, and while it certainly has limited appeal, it offers countless hours of gaming fun and an interesting historical insight into the yellow orb's evolution.”

“Having grown up spending far too much time and money in the arcades of old, the Pac-Man series is near and dear to my heart...”

“Overall, this is a handful of games and a legal settlement away from being comprehensive, but it undoubtedly gives you a flavour for Pac-Man’s storied career, and between the ups-and-downs, there’s plenty to chew on.”

“In a collection celebrating a character via a customizable arcade, it's unfortunate there isn't as much care put into the customization of the player experience. Will I still be playing it often? Absolutely. A handful of these titles both promote Pac-Man's historic legacy, while standing on their own. Others, however, get lost in a game that is ironically all about mazes.”

“Pac-Man Museum+ is a nostalgic collection of 14 Pac-Man titles spanning multiple decades, ranging from timeless classics to baffling misfires. While highlights like Pac-Man Championship Edition and the addictive Pac-Man 256 shine brightly, weaker entries and a choppy hub area hold the package back. Still, for fans of arcade history and Pac-Man’s evolution, it’s a charming and worthwhile trip through gaming’s past.”

“Pac-Man Museum+ is the ultimate tribute to the character's 30 years, collecting much of the old and not-so-old games in one place. With added features like a global bookmark and customization of your own arcade, this title is, without a doubt, one of the best Pac-Man installments of all time.”

“The original Pac-Man has been offered in countless ways on countless platforms over the years; at this point, some fans couldn't be blamed for feeling sick of it. Fortunately, Pac-Man Museum+ manages to offer a library with a surprising amount of variety. I thought I knew a lot about Pac-Man going into this game, but I walked away with a much deeper knowledge of the franchise, and all that it's had to offer over the years. I also came away with some new favorites that I might never have discovered otherwise. I probably never would have discovered Pac 'n Roll or Pac-Man 256, or remembered just how much I enjoy Pac-Attack. The lack of Ms. Pac-Man is disappointing, and the arcade customization could have been a little bit deeper, but this is a strong collection of games that should delight both long-time Pac-fans, and those new to the series.”

“Pac-Man Museum+ is a great collection of games from the Pac-Man franchise. There are games you are sure to have played before, titles you haven't, and great multiplayer games to check out.”

“Pac-Man, which has experienced more than 40 years of vicissitudes, is still popular in the game circle, as a perfect display of the charm of this series. However, this game is just a collection of fourteen previous game works of this series, without any new element. But for nostalgic persons and game players interested in Pac-Man, Pac-Man Museum+ not only represents a collection of the whole series, but also offers the best opportunity to rediscover the charm of the Pac-Man series.”

“The end result is a package that surely carries quantity, with quality coming in at a close second. The good games included within are amazing, but in order to enjoy them you’ll have to delve into some very questionable ones first, which in the case of Pac-Man are some of the most questionable arcade games ever. Then again, having an easy pick-up for Pac-Man Championship Edition is awesome to have, and even then it’s a shame it’s presented the way it is.”
