How this score was computed

The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

A fiery, fun, and authentic-enough simulator that shines brightest when played with friends. With updates and mod support, it has the potential to become the definitive firefighting game.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is a firefighting simulator that boasts impressive graphics, artificial intelligence, interesting missions, and a superbly designed fire station. It’s a simulator with all the trimmings, but it has one significant weakness, a lack of variety in the calls. In my opinion, this is the game’s biggest flaw, which can make it feel repetitive fairly quickly.

Although it has some glaring performance and AI issues, “Firefighting Simulator: Ignite” is by far the most authentic firefighting game I’ve ever played. It’s challenging enough solo and a blast in coop. A must have for simulation fans.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is a confirmation for the license. The game refines the formula of the first episode, corrects its flaws, and offers a richer, more intense, and more credible experience. You can feel both the routine of a firefighter and the adrenaline rush of fighting fires. Of course, not everything is perfect. The fire station sometimes lacks life, a few technical details remind us that this isn't a AAA game, and the narrative content remains limited. However, as soon as you put on your uniform and hear the crackling of the flames, you won't be able to tear yourself away. Fans of immersive simulations will definitely get their money's worth.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite isn’t going to be for everyone. If you come looking for high-octane action, you’ll probably bounce off quickly. But if you’re patient and willing to embrace its deliberate pacing, there’s a rewarding experience here. It’s niche, no doubt, but it’s a niche worth exploring.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite does a great job of putting you in the role of a firefighter. It strikes the right balance between simulator and fun. Something the genre has struggled with at times. It is graphically impressive and solid performance wise. Whether you’re fulfilling a childhood dream or simply looking for a fresh gaming experience, Ignite delivers.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is no ordinary simulation, but an intense experience that impresses with its attention to detail, realism and atmospheric presentation. Varied missions, the dynamic fire display and the successful co-operative mode make the game a highlight for simulation fans.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is a technical and visceral tribute to the world's bravest first responders. Its standout feature is the sophisticated fire physics, which turns every blaze into a strategic puzzle. While the NPC AI can occasionally struggle with complex tasks and the mission variety thins out over long sessions, the thrill of tackling a massive warehouse fire with three friends is unmatched. It’s a solid, authentic simulation that prioritizes procedure over spectacle, offering a rewarding grind for those who respect the red truck.

While it’s not quite making a childhood dream a reality, Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is the next best thing.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is one of the better simulators on console, and perhaps the best of the firefighting variety. It's a sim on console, so you know it comes with some bugs, but if you're into the emergency services subgenre of sims, it's a no brainer.

Firefighting Simulator: Ignite works as a fun and intense simulator, combining planning, coordination and hands-on action against the flames. Its dynamic fires and cooperative play greatly improve the experience, even if the game lacks more life between missions.
