How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

| Metacritic user ratings | – | – | 0 |
| Post-patch Steam reviews (trust-weighted) | 100% | 97 | 1 |

“Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story is a magical adventure game that combines relaxing gameplay with the charm of Bandle City. Although the game doesn’t offer deep challenges or complex strategy, its accessibility, cute art style, and fun tasks make it suitable for players of all ages. Above all, young children will love it, and teenage League of Legends fans as well as lovers of life-sim games will find a pleasant and undemanding experience full of creativity and humor. For me, however, as, let’s say, a slightly seasoned player, there weren’t as many challenges as I’d expected. But I can also admit, as a guy, that I was expecting Arcane, destruction, war, death, and even the plague, but instead I got a wonderful fairy-tale adventure, and I enjoyed almost every moment of it.”

“Bandle Tale is a solid crafting RPG with some really interesting ideas, although it doesn't always execute these ideas as well as it feels like it could have. An expansive crafting system, stunning art style, and hilarious writing all work in Bandle Tale's favor, but the gameplay can sometimes come off as overly frustrating and tedious. As the (unintentionally) final entry in the Riot Forge project, Bandle Tale serves as a decent capstone to a really great idea, and we'd recommend it to anyone out there looking for a chill and immersive new life sim to add to their collection.”

“A charming and pretty gorgeous crafting sim / RPG / adventure that doesn’t quite hit all the right notes”

“Bandle Tale is not a game of immense depth, but remains a good distraction between big action titles. If you're into cozy games like Animal Crossing or Spirit Farer, you'll easily find what you're looking for. If you're looking for a little more excitement, however, you'll be disappointed.”

“Bandle Tale isn't for everyone, due to the grind and time it demands, but those who "get" it will have a great time reuniting the Yordle community.”

“At its core, Bandle Tale is a cosy puzzle game, blending the tranquillity of games like Animal Crossing with the satisfaction of assembling a complex Lego set or a 1000-piece puzzle.”

“Bandle Tale captures the essence of the Yordles’ fantastical home and delivers a delightful and bittersweet experience. As Riot Forge’s final contribution before its closure, Bandle Tale stands as a testament to the studio’s collaborative genius, the creativity and clever game design of Lazy Bear Games, and leaves players with a fond farewell to spinoffs set in the Runeterra universe, at least for the foreseeable future.”

“"Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story focuses on the Yordles with Lazy Bear Games' charming pixel art and humor. The game’s narrative and island exploration are engaging, though the story is shallow and involves a lot of back-and-forth. Skill management and various activities like festivals and food stands add depth, making the game feel more like a fun adventure than a grind."”
