How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

“Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts is a nice attempt to make a realistic sniper simulator, but the game clearly lacks a good story, as now the plotline can boast only scandalous. The missions themselves are crude and boring, the goals are not interesting, and the artificial intelligence even after the patch remains primitive and stupid. The number of bugs is only regrettable. Of the advantages is only a fun sniper shooting and nice graphics, which is clearly not enough for a modern game project.”

“For me Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts is one of the biggest surprises of the year. I was prepared for a rehashed Ghost Warrior 3, a very tiresome production. Fortunately, the length and diversity of the new installment maintained my interest throughout the entire game. Contracts is definitely the best game in the series, far more enjoyable than Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.”

“It isn't extraordinary, but Sniper: Ghost Warrior Contracts is a solid game. The majority of the gunplay is basic, but it pales in comparison to the attention paid to the sniping and the variety of gun mechanics. The enemy AI works fine even if they sometimes act dumb, and the environments make the missions more interesting. The lack of polish in a few parts of the presentation and some interesting quirks bring down the game, but overall, Contracts is worth checking out if you can temper your expectations.”
