How this trust score was computed
This reviewer publishes verdicts, not numbers, so trust comes from their recommend/pan calls: call accuracy (50%): when they say buy, do players end up satisfied, and when they say skip, do players agree; alignment (25%): do their recommendations sort games the way players do; and player-side (25%): on games where press and players sharply disagreed, whose side were they on. The blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small histories can't peg the scale, and recent verdicts weigh more (2-year half-life).
Controversy record: on 1 game where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 0 times.

“The devastation of post-apocalyptic Moscow in the grips of nuclear winter is even more breathtaking. Metro Exodus stands out as best in the series in terms of its atmosphere, much-improved gameplay and absolutely gorgeous visuals, from the snow particles to the water glistening in the distance, this is seen whether you are playing on PC, PS4 or Xbox One the graphical power of the game is amazing.”

“The best thing we can say about Far Cry 5 is that it is one of the most entertaining sandbox survival adventures in the franchise. Montana is a gorgeous slice of new terrain that is fraught with peril and the road ahead that Far Cry Arcade represents is exciting, to say the least. Simply put, the fifth version in Ubisoft’s series of madness, freedom, and exploration is Far Cry perfected.”

“Electronic Arts and developer Ghost Games took a break from the Need for Speed series last year because of various negative feedback and the Need for Speed team decided to go back to the drawing board. Payback features the largest open world than any of the previous Need for Speeds has seen and includes different varieties of racing. The most noticeable change to the 2017 version is the revenge-driven story, which almost mimics car racing movies like Gone in 60 seconds and Fast and the Furious.”

“Destiny 2 has blasted its predecessor away with the powerful story missions that provide meat to the game and makes all the content you play a more enjoyable experience. As with the previous game, loot is the key to survival and Bungie have added more ways to obtaining loot for your Guardian and makes the adventure even sweeter. Destiny 2 achieves exactly what the fans wanted, a vast improvement on the previous games mechanics and overall story. Credit is due to developers Bungie and publishers Activision for making sure the fans grievances were heard and understood so we applaud them for keeping the fans and customers happy.”

“Agents of Mayhem is funny and at times over the top ridiculous with its frenetic action and original story, if you are looking for a game that can get you out of your mundane life or move away from the negativity spreading across the world, why not just cue the action music and blast your way to an explosive fun time...LOL”

“When the people of Earth, destroy its environment and atmosphere while suffering from overpopulation and greed a company called CREO takes it upon itself to help restore the world and it’s people to its former self. You play as Warren, paralysed volunteer for CREO, you begin the game without any background as to why you are paralysed yet you are convinced CREO is where you belong.”

“The plot is an interesting and very much a Resident Evil story but the biggest difference between this Resident Evil and previous versions is the first person perspective.”
