How this score was computed
The VGC Score is a weighted blend on a press-comparable 0-100 quality scale. Steam approval rates are first calibrated (95% positive on Steam ≈ 89.5 quality, since Steam approval skews high). Press and tracked creator reviews each count ~2x a player review and share one cap against player evidence (creator buy/skip calls pool into an approval rate, calibrated like Steam approval); all-time sentiment is capped and halved (it's context, not verdict); reviews of the current build carry the most weight when a fresh patch anchors the window; and a 'typical game' prior keeps small samples from pegging the scale. Because press reviews and Metacritic user aggregates describe the launch build, their weight decays as the game ages (3-year half-life after a 1-year grace). That's how a game that launched rough can outgrow its old reception once updates win players over. Reviews under 2h playtime (the refund window), non-Steam activations, and free copies are downweighted.

“Deliver At All Costs offers a unique experience that blends chaos and comedy in a world inspired by the 1950s. The game is a suitable choice for those looking for an unconventional experience, despite some flaws in the game.”

“Deliver At All Costs is an unassuming and fun game for a couple of evenings with absurd missions and specific humor.”

“Going into Deliver At All Costs, you would understandably assume it was mostly about driving, destruction, and Grand Theft Auto-esque high jinks. And for its opening hours, its best hours, it is. But the game quietly and gradually moves away from open-world mayhem toward a more focused, intimate narrative adventure, gaining emotional heft but losing some ingenuity and player freedom in the process.”

“Deliver at All Costs is a gem that showcases the developers' creativity and unconventionality. Its chaotic destruction mechanics and 1950s-inspired environment make it a unique experience, even if the narrative is somewhat lacking. While story-driven gamers might be disappointed by the illogical plot twists, the game's true strength lies in the sheer joy of the explosions and destruction, and its deep connection to 1950s nostalgia.”

“It's full of personality, narrative, charisma, sarcasm and chaos. It's made for those who like to drive without rules, like in GTA, laugh at the countless absurd situations that arise and, as a bonus, enjoy getting involved in the narrative, which is full of twists and turns.”

“Deliver at all Costs definitely delivers: the cars feel a bit wonky first but after a short adjustment period, you'll get the hang of it. The missions continually present you with new, absurd tasks and it's a hell of a lot of fun exploring the world and destroying it all at the same time. It's almost absurd how much you can destroy in the game, the only downside is the visuals of the game and the character models, which fortunately only become really noticeable when the game zooms in. Furthermore, the game would have benefited from slightly larger or more connected areas, waypoints, and better markers for your route, but that doesn't detract from the fact that I had quite some fun with the game.”

“Deliver At All Costs' greatest strength is its ability to reinvent itself, but its missions lack tension and its story is a bit of a misfire. If you really enjoy that isometric era of GTA games, then you'll find fun in this physics-heavy escapade, but expect bumps and blemishes, because this is far from the perfect package.”

““Deliver at all Costs” is a bold indie debut that isn't afraid to be loud, chaotic and delightfully over-the-top. The mixture of retro aesthetics, physics-based slapstick and satirical story makes the game a fun experience - at least for a short while. Because behind the flashy surface lies a gameplay loop that quickly becomes repetitive.”

“Deliver At All Costs excels at chaos and vehicular destruction, offering a solid gameplay foundation. However, mission design can falter at times, leading to frustrating pacing and occasional monotony. The story also suffers from noticeable slowdowns. If you're drawn to the game’s chaotic core, you'll likely have a blast, but those seeking a more complete and balanced experience might find it uneven. Still, it’s a unique and enjoyable ride overall.”

“Deliver At All Costs may not be a milestone in video game history, but it knows exactly what it wants to be and delivers exactly that: an all-round entertaining gaming experience. With its entertaining game structure, varied missions and constant alternation between chaos and comedy, the game remains exciting throughout without ever claiming to be anything greater. The mixture of exaggerated destruction, black humor and loving 50s flair creates an atmosphere that evokes memories of the early GTA days. This touch of nostalgia acts as an added bonus and is further enhanced by witty dialog, charming characters and whimsically designed environments. Of course, not everything runs perfectly. Small graphic errors or technical inconsistencies occasionally occur, but are hardly noticeable. Because what Deliver At All Costs lacks in technical finesse, it makes up for in personality and enjoyment. It is a game that knows exactly how to keep its players entertained. Anyone who enjoys absurd ideas, a charming retro setting and a good dose of chaos will be thoroughly entertained here. It's not a masterpiece in the classic sense, but it's an all-round successful experience that should be experienced once for its quirky style and creative missions alone.”

“It's a casual game that isn't very long, but is quite engaging. The lack of challenge could be considered a negative point. Furthermore, replayability is quite limited because the game is linear. But it can be enjoyed peacefully from beginning to end.”

“Fans of Crazy Taxi and the Burnout franchise will appreciate the reckless charm therein but those looking for a deeper story or more refined mechanics may find it lacking.”
