How this trust score was computed

Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.

Resonance: A Plague Tale LegacyAug 26, 2026 · Franziska Behner

I really want to like “Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.” It looks fantastic, features a protagonist with a rough-and-tumble personality, and offers well-crafted puzzle-solving and exploration gameplay. The idea of following clues from Sophia’s visions instead of a quest line—and solving puzzles to find a mystical treasure in true treasure-hunter style—brings out the Indiana Jones in me.

    The Sinking City 2Aug 17, 2026 · Franziska Behner

“The Sinking City 2” is an occult treat that isn't meant for the masses. Worms writhing out of eyeballs, narcissistic sirens, and sea monsters offer a welcome change of pace within the genre. Anyone who finds thematic games like “The Chant” exciting and appreciates obvious “Resident Evil” influences will enjoy “The Sinking City 2” (even without prior knowledge).

Agent 64: Spies Never DieAug 13, 2026 · Kim Muntinga

‘Agent 64: Spies Never Die’ captures the appeal of classic N64 shooters remarkably well. The compact missions, the additional objectives on higher difficulty levels and the brilliant spy soundtrack make this trip back to 1997 a particularly enjoyable experience for me. The consistent retro look authentically evokes the era without getting bogged down by technical limitations.

Beast of ReincarnationAug 4, 2026 · Domagoj Belancic

Beast of Reincarnation stands out with its distinctive post-apocalyptic world, emotional story, and beautifully developed bond between Emma and her canine companion Koo, conveyed as effectively through gameplay as through cutscenes. Its addictive combat blends real-time action with turn-based elements into a challenging yet refreshing system that never feels unfair. Weaknesses in level design and progression are easy to forgive, but the sometimes dreadful technical state is not. Even so, Beast of Reincarnation is an easy recommendation for anyone looking to escape formulaic AAA worlds and lose themselves in something original and melancholic.

    Corsair CoveJul 28, 2026 · Kim Muntinga

Corsair Cove combines its colourful pirate world with a deep, clever building system. Vertical construction is the highlight, as production facilities, warehouses and homes spread across multiple levels connected by walkways, stairs and bridges. Expeditions, shipbuilding and increasingly engaging turn-based battles complement the economy simulation nicely. The development tree initially feels overwhelming, some building connections are fiddly, and captains could play a bigger role in daily life. Still, after twelve hours, Corsair Cove already ranks among the most exciting city-builders I’ve played in recent years.

Halo: Campaign EvolvedJul 23, 2026 · Rainer Etzweiler

Viewed objectively, Campaign Evolved is an almost perfect remake. The outstanding gameplay remains largely unchanged, whilst the technology has been brought up to date. This approach is legitimate and, given the stated aim (‘shoulder to shoulder with the original’), understandable.

    Denshattack!Jul 15, 2026 · Franziska Behner

‘Denshattack!’ is so crazy that it could only be set in Japan: this train-based trick-shot racing game is a colourful, completely mad ride and is full of surprises.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag ResyncedJul 8, 2026 · Debora Pape

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Resynced delivers memorable quests, strong dialogue, and an immersive pirate atmosphere that makes its Caribbean setting a joy to explore. However, its oversized open world is filled with repetitive collectibles and activities that rarely justify the detour. The game also tries to juggle stealth, naval combat, platforming, fleet management, and more, resulting in an experience that often feels unfocused despite its many strengths.

    Moonlight PeaksJul 6, 2026 · Franziska Behner

Growing bizarre crops, raising spooky animals, and unlocking magical abilities through your wand keep the gameplay loop engaging, while the cute art style and surprisingly mature themes give the world extra personality. Slow dialogue, frequent cutscenes, and excessive loading screens hurt the pacing, but I still found myself constantly saying "just one more task" and playing for another hour—a great sign for any farming game.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium TalesJun 17, 2026 · Rainer Etzweiler

"The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales" is the best Zelda-like of this generation. While its puzzles need more polish and it struggles to establish a unique identity, its rewarding exploration, excellent dungeons, and satisfying combat more than make up for it.

Mina the HollowerJun 16, 2026 · Kevin Hofer

Excellent dungeon design, a versatile digging mechanic, and rewarding progression make for an outstanding adventure. While the story falls short of its potential and the difficulty can be unforgiving, this is a must-play for fans of challenging action-adventure games.

    Solarpunk™Jun 11, 2026 · Debora Pape

Despite its heavily recycled gameplay loop, Solarpunk kept me engaged thanks to its enjoyable mix of base building, energy management, and resource gathering.

Crushed In TimeJun 10, 2026 · Franziska Behner

In the first few minutes of the game, I'm not sure whether the "rubber-band" mechanics in *Crushed in Time* are an innovation or just a way to drag the story out. However, the developers show a lot of creativity and come up with exciting twists that keep me hooked from level to level. I'm actually really enjoying it.

    LEGO® Batman™: Legacy of the Dark KnightJun 2, 2026 · Philipp Rüegg

"Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight" is a tribute to 80 years of Batman. The game brings together Batman characters from a wide range of eras and tells a story of its own. It’s packed with Lego slapstick and humorous one-liners that make me laugh just as much as they do my five-year-old son.

    007 First LightMay 26, 2026 · Philipp Rüegg

After 30 years, ‘GoldenEye’ is finally retiring. With ‘007 First Light’, IO Interactive – the masterminds behind ‘Hitman’ – delivers the ultimate Bond experience that fans have been waiting for since the N64 classic.
