How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 121 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 29 times.

- 88Onimusha: Way of the SwordAug 31, 2026
“Capcom forges a new katana with Onimusha: Way of the Sword, successfully reinventing the samurai saga for modern times. There is room for improvement, but if this marks the beginning of a second life for the Oni warriors—and we hope it does—it is a great first step along the path of the samurai.”

“The Blood of Dawnwalker offers a role-playing formula that hits the mark in terms of narrative, but falls short when it comes to combat, world-building and polish. Rebel Wolves is a little too ambitious, despite demonstrating that there is tremendous potential in this role-playing universe featuring vampires.”

“Resonance shifts gears and offers a blockbuster adventure that presents few gameplay innovations compared to other similar AAA titles, but perfectly understands that adventurous spirit to offer a captivating narrative and a successful combination of action, puzzles, stealth, and platforming.”

“All in all, Captain Tsubasa 2 is a more-than-worthy tribute to the soccer adventures that inspired it; it can be genuinely thrilling during certain matches and is far more enjoyable when played against another person. That said, it can also be overwhelming due to constant interruptions and an excess of visual hyperbole during plays—to the point where, at times, you lose all sense of where you are on the pitch. It is a bit like "fabada" (hearty bean stew): it dazzles the senses, but is best enjoyed in controlled doses.”

“Overall, Captain Tsubasa 2 is a more than worthy tribute to the football adventures on which it is based, which can be exciting in certain matches and is much more enjoyable against another person.”

“The games included can easily be included in the top of their respective consoles, but the overall experience of this pack feels a little careless and empty of content.”

“There are technical flaws that indicate the game doesn't reach AAA status, but these are largely compensated for by the narrative and artistic design. And while it's strictly unrelated to the game and we haven't factored it into the score, we believe the effort to bring such an ambitious project to fruition in such an adverse context deserves applause . So, give The Sinking City 2 a chance . Give cosmic horror a chance.”

“Only a few bugs, a bit more polish, and the somewhat weak narrative might pose a problem, but none of that detracts from the fact that Mortal Shell 2 is a high-quality soulslike . You're going to have a blast playing it.”

“Ultimately, Beast of Reincarnation is sustained by its atmosphere and story . I thoroughly enjoyed it precisely for that reason... and because the combination of Sekiro-esque gameplay with a Nier-like feel is the kind of pitch that seems tailor-made for me, but I'm aware that it's a game with numerous shortcomings.”

“The creators of Pokémon opt for a blend of Sekiro (in terms of gameplay) and Nier (in terms of narrative) that fails to live up to either of its influences; however, if the concept behind Beast of Reincarnation appeals to you, you will enjoy it despite its shortcomings.”

“Halo: Campaign Evolved is, above all, a celebration of a game that marked a turning point in the genre, but it's also an experience in its own right that can stand shoulder to shoulder with today's titans of the shooter.”
