How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 13 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 6 times.

“Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is not only a refined and conscious product, it is a total emotional experience, capable of shaking and leaving a deep mark. It is a work that speaks to the belly and the heart, that dares, moves and surprises, with masterful world building, a narrative dense with meaning and gameplay that pays homage to the past without remaining captive to it. It is rare to come across something so powerful and complete: a game that takes you by the hand and walks you toward an ending that, in whatever form you experience it, will stick with you. No rhetoric: this is a masterpiece, and that's all.”

“Doom The Dark Ages proves to be a decidedly good FPS and able to satisfy fans of the series, to once again allow the player to step back into the shoes of the (mighty more than ever) Doom Slayer, making his way through the streets of hell. The changes made to the gameplay, aimed at making it less frenetic than Eternal, might perhaps throw you off initially, but the steady and almost always on-the-pace pace of the game will eventually win you over in the long run. Some changes to the parry system would certainly be welcome.”

“South of Midnight is a product that lives on two souls. The first, the artistic one, is truly extraordinary. From the sound to the overall look, through the settings and narrative fabric, everything works great. The changes of pace and the constant surprises (even of the plot) will help you make up for the potential repetitiveness from which the gameplay suffers. The latter, in fact, is very basic and shallow; an obvious sacrificial victim in development, Compulsion Games clearly decided to focus heavily on something else. A compromise, in short, that in the end does not disqualify the experience itself too much, rather it does not allow it to excel. A pleasant, original game, with sometimes memorable elements (the music!). An excellent addition to the Game Pass catalog and, all in all, a pleasant surprise in this first part of 2025.”

“Monster Hunter Wilds continues to smooth out the edges of the series in clever ways, making the experience more accessible and fluid. However, in this quest for simplicity, the game has lost some of the challenge that made equipment and progress so satisfying in previous chapters. The more dynamic and responsive combat is among the best in the series, but without a truly challenging endgame, the fun is likely to fade quickly, unless Capcom soon releases new monsters capable of really challenging us. The graphics system really let down for those without top-of-the-line PC components, this problem needs to be fixed if you don't want to shoot yourself in the foot”

“In conclusion, we are talking about a rather classic first-person horror game, where it is vital to hide and not get hunted down by aliens who will hunt you down at every turn. A game unfortunately poor in plot, with good gameplay for those who will really manage not to go crazy in the process and with an extremely faithful cinematic-to-video game transposition. Approved for lovers of the genre and the movies.”

“Monarchy presents itself as an intriguing challenge for strategy lovers, offering an experience that prioritizes cunning and planning over pure adrenaline. The initial charm, however, quickly dissipates, a victim of gameplay that falls into the trap of monotony. The inability to personally descend onto the battlefield leaves a bitter taste, forcing players to passively observe as their troops fight, depriving them of the thrill of direct action.”

“Uncle Chop's Rocket Shop is a title that manages to skillfully blend humor, strategy, and roguelike mechanics, providing a fresh and engaging gaming experience. Its ability to keep the tension high through increasing economic progression and the learning element tied to the instruction manual adds depth and variety to the gameplay. The attention to detail in the visual design and the quality of the Italian adaptation further contribute to making the game a truly unique experience. I honestly think it is one of the most worthwhile titles I have tried in many years, so I can't help but highly recommend it to anyone.”

“Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle definitely looks like the new masterpiece game in terms of graphics. The settings are detailed and with great attention to detail. Definitely a source of memories for fans of the movie saga, it will be talked about and for a long time. Perhaps the only flaws are the too simple puzzles and the very basic NPC interaction system.”

“Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 proves to be a title that lives up to expectations, offering a well-executed mix of action, strategy and fun. Both veterans of the series and new players will find reasons in this installment to appreciate the quality and depth of gameplay. With a captivating campaign, an improved zombie mode, Warzone integration, a solid multiplayer segment and a challenging battle pass, the game proves to be an indispensable addition to the series. I personally missed a title like this especially in the FPS arena where it had been years since there was a title that made me want to play it like this one, plus the attention to detail and diversification of the game brings me right back to the Call of Duty of a few years ago that I grew up with and discovered the world of FPS video games.”

“the Mortuary Assistant is a game in which one will have to rely on one's acumen to stay focused during the demons' countless attempts to lead us down the wrong path. With an exciting graphical and sound compartment it turns out to be a very enjoyable game also because of the story that although quite simple also turns out to be well structured. Although with some graphical bugs it does not turn out to be perfect it is highly recommended!”

“Frostpunk 2 always demonstrates a creation of complex gameplay that is not at all intuitive, but very interactive towards the players by putting you in front of choices that will determine your progression in the game, but in addition to towards glory they could lead you towards sideration. As much as the game is well structured and its objectives clear the lack of an actual tutorial is felt, especially considering that we are not even shown the game controls, A pity also regarding the graphical discrepancy between the video scenes and the actual gameplay, the details and effects during gameplay are well taken care of, but they do not justify graphics that compared to the rest can be classified as mediocre.”

“The Mobius Machine is a metroidvania game that does its job well. If you are a fan of the genre it is recommended, you will definitely enjoy it but it will not stick in your mind that much. The platforming elements are well done, the gameplay and combat system is well done but the whole outline comes across as monotonous. You will be the judge of that.”

“Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions offers an engaging and well-crafted gaming experience, with a good deal of customization and varied modes. Despite some graphical compromises, the title stands out for its smoothness and the absence of microtransactions, making it a solid choice for both fans of Quidditch and the world of Harry Potter and those looking for a sports video game with that extra touch.”

“Winter Survival is a failed attempt to stand out in the survival video game market, which is filled with mechanics that have been seen over and over again multiple times. Sanity is an interesting idea, but by itself it is insufficient to make the game experience enjoyable, whose goal is not to survive but to delay the inevitable fate of the protagonist”
