How this trust score was computed

Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.

    PRAGMATAJun 6, 2026

It's action, it's puzzles, it's terrifying enemies, inspiring (and fear-invoking) new technology, it's a dad and his daughter trying to survive and still finding little bits of joy in a world that's currently out to get them.

With the release date drawing nearer, we can't help but wonder if Arknights Endfield is the one game to shake up all the adjacent live service game genres (gacha or otherwise). We loved playing through the Beta Test II and for now it seems like it's all on the right track, and wonderfully so.

The story overall is compelling (all three of them), and I like the way you progress and level up as each character, but that repetitiveness in battles is what hinders it from being great.

    Bionic BayApr 16, 2025 · Nikola Jovanović

A moody platformer that moves fast, looks great, and only stumbles when it overthinks itself.

AI Limit review is a Soulslike anime meets dark futuristic fantasy banger with a massive and beautiful world to explore and almost infinite replayability for anyone who likes a challenge.

Though I enjoyed the adventure, a bit more polish could elevate Flint: Treasure of Oblivion from a fun experience to something I’d wholeheartedly recommend for everyone.

Empire of the AntsNov 4, 2024 · Stephanie Watel

Empire of the Ants is a welcome breath of fresh forest air in a genre that can always benefit from more nature-based simulators, and sets a well-earned standard for those looking to achieve a similar vision. The story is an enjoyable 20 or so hours inside a world that is fascinating to explore, and I think Bernard Werber would be proud of what Tower Five has accomplished.

Double Exposure is just another dose of the stylish, edgy, narrative-driven goodness that fans have come to know and love from the Life Is Strange series.

Fear the SpotlightOct 21, 2024 · Connell Watson

A two campaign, spook filled jaunt through the most stereotypical American high school you can possibly imagine, complete with creepy drama teachers with theater lights for heads, fun puzzles, and a surprising level of emotional depth.

    Metaphor: ReFantazioOct 11, 2024 · Lyssa Greywood

Metaphor: ReFantazio is a game that walks the line between homage and innovation. Its deep connection to Persona and Shin Megami Tensei is clear in its mechanics and structure, and while at times it feels almost too similar to its predecessors, it ultimately carves out its own space with a compelling fantasy world and meaningful characters.

    Rogue WatersSep 30, 2024 · Lyssa Greywood

Between the unique raid maps, various crew builds, and sea monsters to summon (yes, you get to unleash a Kraken), every run feels like a new adventure. It’s a game that you can easily lose hours in, and the depth of customization keeps things interesting even after multiple raids.

Shadows of DoubtSep 23, 2024 · Connell Watson

An extremely addictive and satisfying core gameplay loop combined with exceptional gameplay, immersion mechanics, an outstanding setting, and a strong, fitting visual style make this an indie title for the history books. There is nothing like this out there, and I'd be shocked if there's anything like this again.

    Frostpunk 2Sep 17, 2024 · Stephanie Watel

In the world of city-builder games, the Frostpunk franchise stands proudly at the snow-capped peak of Mount Everest in terms of what definitively is the most all-around challenging IP in the genre. Frostpunk 2 easily helps it keep that title in a tight-gloved fist, with its incredibly intricate game design and uncompromising difficulty that is best suited for the most fearless and ambitious of Stewards.
