How this trust score was computed

Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.

    Schrödinger's CallAug 15, 2026 · Tamás Marczali

Schrödinger’s Call can hardly be described as a traditional visual novel built around the usual East Asian clichés. We can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoys thought-provoking stories full of twists - ones that might even make us pause for a moment and reflect not only on the lives of its characters, but on our own as well.

    The 7th Guest RemakeJun 27, 2026 · István Szabó

Despite its flaws, The 7th Guest Remake is an atmospheric and highly entertaining experience. That said, its replay value may be exhausted after a single playthrough due to the nature of its narrative. Even so, the core essence that made the 1993 original so memorable remains entirely intact; it has simply been reshaped to meet the expectations of a modern audience.

    007 First LightJun 21, 2026 · Tamás Kalász

Overall, 007: First Light unfortunately turned out to be a merely middling game, saved from a 6 only by its cinematic feel, the acting performances, and the strong level design. That said, I hear a sequel is in the works, and the foundation on display here is by no means something you couldn't build on. If the developers ironed out the NPC AI, and focused on some other gameplay mechanic instead of the platformer-style hopping around, this series could still go a very long way.

    LEGO® Batman™: Legacy of the Dark KnightMay 26, 2026 · István Szabó

Although Legacy of the Dark Knight did not reinvent the genre of “brick-built” games, it stands as undeniable proof of the decades of experience and brilliance that TT Games represents. This game is not merely a love letter to Batman, but to Batman’s legacy as well.

    Foolish MortalsApr 10, 2026 · Ádám Herczeg

Foolish Mortals is, above all, a love letter to longtime fans of the genre. While the influence of the classics is clearly present, it becomes a true nostalgia trip without directly copying them. It could have used a bit more fine-tuning here and there, but if you enjoyed the ’90s entries of series like Monkey Island or Broken Sword, it’s unmissable.

Legacy of Kain: AscendanceApr 7, 2026 · István Szabó

If this is how Crystal Dynamics envisions the future of the franchise, they’d be better off closing the coffin they’ve opened and burying it deep again, because Legacy of Kain: Ascendance has turned out to be one of the biggest disappointments of 2026. Anyone expecting the latest LoK installment to ride in like a mythical steed is bound to be let down - because Bit Bot Media is essentially trying to sell the same bloated, long-dead horse all over again in the hope of turning a profit.

    The OccultistApr 7, 2026 · István Szabó

It’s disappointing that, after nearly four years of development, DALOAR Studios can only show off awards cobbled together from earlier demos on its website, while wasting both the talent of a great actor and a promising project in the name of marketing. Like it or not, in a narrative-driven game, visuals cannot make up for the absence of a compelling story. Let’s hope the performance issues will be addressed.

Apopia: Sugar Coated TaleMar 17, 2026 · Tamás Marczali

Apopia: Sugar Coated Tale is a beautifully hand-drawn adventure with a distinctive sense of humor—one that offers more depth than its lighthearted tone and quirky characters might suggest at first glance. What we’ll never know, however, is how it might have turned out if it had been released four years earlier as a more compact experience, with fewer filler sections.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance RemasteredMar 11, 2026 · István Szabó

Although the team at PlayEveryWare tried to smooth over the flaws and shortcomings of Defiance Remastered, it’s hard to be entirely satisfied, as the abundance of pointless and unnecessary downloadable content can easily become overwhelming. The base game itself isn’t free of issues either, but it still fulfills the principle of being necessary and sufficient - more than enough for anyone who wants to finally see the story of Raziel and Kain through to its conclusion.

    CairnMar 4, 2026 · Ádám Herczeg

Cairn essentially defines itself perfectly: it’s full of highs, yet—especially from a technical standpoint—not without its lows. While the end result is satisfying overall, it could have used a bit more time in the oven.

Shadows of the AfterlandFeb 14, 2026 · Tamás Marczali

Shadows of the Afterland is a very pleasant way to kick off the year. Its an adventure featuring a twist-filled story, meaningful themes, and puzzles that aren’t overly difficult. At the same time, its subtle, unobtrusive humor occasionally brings a smile to your face. Despite the fact that we’re tasked with investigating the circumstances of our own death, it’s an experience I’ll remember as surprisingly chill. Not a bad deal at all for €15!

    The RunFeb 5, 2026 · Tamás Kalász

I’m genuinely sorry that The Run ultimately turned out to be just an average production, and even knowing that it probably never aimed to be more than a B-movie horror experience, I still can’t see it as anything beyond that. Still, even an average film can be entertaining at times, especially when it’s an interactive one, where the story and its branching choices can offer three hours or more of engagement. On a completely dull evening, you probably won’t go wrong with it.

Earth Must DieJan 27, 2026 · István Szabó

This game doesn’t promise anything groundbreaking within the genre, but fans of classic LucasArts titles should definitely give it a shot, as Earth Must Die has its fair share of strong moments. If that weren’t enough, the outstanding, truly one-of-a-kind voice acting alone might be reason enough to try it out. That said, only take it for a spin once the issues have been fixed.

    TR-49Jan 21, 2026 · Ádám Herczeg

Behind the code-breaking lies nothing more than a blend of a deduction game and an audio drama, which—despite its simple design and minimal gameplay mechanics—manages to remain engaging and effective. Even with the large amount of reading involved, it never becomes overly demanding from a logical standpoint, though it does require a certain mindset to fully appreciate it.

    Rue ValleyDec 12, 2025 · Endre Linea

Overall, Rue Valley gets off to a very strong start, and after a brief period of uncertainty, it manages to bring the story to a satisfying close. When it came to choosing and shaping our personality, I felt the developers missed a few genuinely promising opportunities, but I didn’t regret at all being there alongside Eugene during one of the long, at times painfully self-honest hours of his life.
