How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 58 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 11 times.

Outlet vs. players
Each dot is a game both this outlet and players scored. The dashed line is perfect agreement: dots above it mean the outlet was more generous than players, below it more harsh.

- 70Resonance: A Plague Tale LegacyAug 26, 2026
“The plot is the game's great strength, although it is not without its flaws. It is extremely slow-paced, with little in the way of story progression. The voice acting is good, and Sophia's motivations are believable. The twists and turns in the story are gripping, although several are fairly predictable. The game's length speaks in its favor in that regard. It took just over 10 hours to play through the story. That's just long enough that none of the slightly weaker parts of the game exceed their viewing time. If Resonance is your introduction to the universe, I think you can have a good experience with this game. But I'm curious to see what those who loved the previous two games will think.”

“It makes me miss both the sense of mastery and even greater variety: the clearly defined playstyles in Street Fighter 6; the freedom of choice that allows me to play Tekken for endless hours without getting bored; and the unique qualities that made Dragon Ball FighterZ so outstanding in 2018 – that little extra.”

“Splatoon Raiders ditches PvP for a PvE dungeon-crawling looter-shooter. You explore the mysterious Spirhalite Islands armed with an arsenal of weapons, three distinct ink-tank "talent trees," and swappable special gadgets. It's a well-designed and varied departure for the series, with really good, WoW-raid-like boss fights and a solid co-op mode. ”

“It's not far off the mark on the character scale - this is clearly the best version of Black Flag - but the experience clearly bears the mark of the time it came out and pales in comparison to many of the games that have come since.”

“A remake of the classic N64 title Star Fox delivers a visually overhauled experience that stays faithful to the 1997 original. The updated graphics look fantastic, and the orchestral music stands out as never before. The new Joy-Con mouse controls are awkward, but the core gameplay holds up well for both newcomers and returning players.”

“Gothic 1 Remake offers a ruthless, uncompromising world full of secrets and unique moments – but technical issues and an unforgiving learning curve will test even the most patient players.”

“007 First Light is the best James Bond game ever made. IO Interactive has done a commendable job adapting their Hitman formula to fit the iconic spy franchise, with stealth mechanics that feel tighter and more focused than their inspiration. The game plays it too safe, however, and 007 First Light stops just short of true greatness by not taking enough risks.”

“Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is an almost overwhelmingly charming game full of cute things and weird challenges and things to do. It's fun, but doesn't always seem sure of what it wants to do.”

“Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is the most ambitious Lego game to date, blending stories from nearly 90 years of Batman comics, films, and games into a visually stunning open-world adventure set in Gotham City. The game delivers a fluid combat system clearly inspired by the Arkham series, and a city packed with secrets, puzzles, and collectibles.”

“Forza Horizon 6 takes the racing series to Japan, delivering a massive, densely packed open world that feels far more natural and varied than its predecessor. A more engaging progression system and a stunning recreation of Japan makes this the best game in the series yet.”

“For all its effort, Aphelion severely lacks the ingenuity, polish and emotional impact of Dontnod's other titles. It is simply OK, a fairly decent action adventure. One that might as well have been made 15 years ago.”

“It's a warm and beautiful story about friendship, helping each other, and standing together when things might get a little difficult. The game may not offer deep thoughts for adults, but it is communicated in a very nice and child-friendly way that never forgets that Moomin is not just for the little ones....Furthermore, Moomin: Winter's Warmth is a more advanced game with more things to do, larger areas to explore, and far more exciting areas to explore. The game makes me very excited to see what Hyper Games can come up with in the future.”

“Replaced is a visually stunning cyberpunk thriller that impresses with its detailed pixel art, fluid animations, and cinematic presentation, but is held back by repetitive combat and puzzles.”

“Housemark hits the mark again, with yet another beautiful, challenging and chaotic bullethell action game. The story might not be the greatest, but the fluid, fast-paced action keeps the game engaging and entertaining all the way through.”
