How this trust score was computed

Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag ResyncedAug 27, 2026 · Matt Kowalski

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is still the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag you knew and loved, just significantly better. If you didn’t get to the game before, this is a great way to experience what many consider the best Assassin’s Creed of all time.

    STEINS;GATE RE:BOOTAug 27, 2026 · Ivan Katić

Steins;Gate Re:Boot remains an excellent visual novel because its character relationships and meticulously constructed time-travel narrative are still remarkably powerful.

    BRIGANDINE ABYSSAug 27, 2026 · Throgmorton Belmont

Once you get a solid grasp of the tactics, resource management, and intricate systems the game leans on, Brigandine Abyss becomes a deeply rewarding experience. Just don’t expect the easy accessibility of a Final Fantasy Tactics or Fire Emblem, because this game has no interest in holding your hand.

    DuskfadeAug 13, 2026 · Brandon Lyttle

Duskfade hits the nail on the head in trying to be a new thing, and not just nostalgia-bait. It’s not afraid to make itself open to new and young players.

    Corsair CoveAug 5, 2026 · Ivan Katić

Corsair Cove nevertheless remains a very good city-builder and an easy recommendation for fans of management games. Its vertical settlements are distinctive, its pirate atmosphere is excellent and its opening hours are among the most immediately enjoyable I have experienced in the genre.

    Culdcept BEGINSAug 4, 2026

With a fanbase as niche as Culdcept‘s, Begins‘ lack of a target audience is its biggest misstep, and one that leaves it aimless despite being designed as a crowd-pleasing renaissance.

    DragonSword : AwakeningAug 2, 2026 · Throgmorton Belmont

DragonSword: Awakening lands at a strange moment for the hobby, between console makers acting like the villain of the story and physical media getting phased out one release at a time. It’s genuinely nice to see something take a normally predatory genre, strip out the predatory part, and sell the rest for thirty dollars. It’s not without its seams.

BLUE REFLECTION QuartetJul 31, 2026 · Throgmorton Belmont

Ultimately, Blue Reflection Quartet isn’t something I’d recommend to most RPG fans. It’s more for those seeking a light, character-focused visual novel about heroines balancing high school life with a looming world-ending crisis, leaning far more into the former.

    PalworldJul 29, 2026 · Ivan Katić

At the end of the day, Palworld is messy, ambitious and incredibly addictive.

    007 First LightJul 28, 2026 · Matt Kowalski

007 First Light is a thrilling adventure from start to finish that is a bit too heavy-handed with its stealth and fetch gameplay elements. While the game is arguably the best 007 game in the last twenty years, it does feel like it could be better.

    Disgaea MayhemJul 18, 2026 · Throgmorton Belmont

Disgaea Mayhem isn’t broken, and it’s fine for short play sessions. But it plays it incredibly safe, borrowing the series’ style and humor while stripping away most of what made the main games unique.

    Voidling BoundJul 18, 2026 · Throgmorton Belmont

Voidling Bound cleverly reinvents the creature-collector formula in combat, but is hampered by a limited species count and a difficulty system that demands nothing from you while offering little reward for pushing yourself.

    Denshattack!Jul 15, 2026

When it comes to gameplay, there has never been a title quite like Denshattack. Fusing parkour, speed, and a complicated tricktionary make for an experience wholly its own. And that experience is pure adrenaline, packed with heart-pumping stunts, gorgeous and varied settings, and an unscratchable itch to dive back in for just one more try at that elusive gold medal.

    Dark ScrollsJul 2, 2026

Dark Scrolls is retro for all the right reasons, and very few of the wrong ones, and you’ll get plenty of substance considering its budget price point.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium TalesJun 29, 2026 · Throgmorton Belmont

The Adventures of Elliot comes close to nailing it when it lets you loose and explore a world across eras at your own pace. There’s a lot to like; it looks great, exploring is fun, and it feels good to play. It falls short when it comes to likeable characters and having a story to care about.
