How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 5 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 0 times.

“A South Park game which is at least as good as The Stick of Truth was, and that is definitely something good. Better UIs, and never-ending humor of all sorts. Once again, a game every South Park fan must play, and a game you should play if you are not.”

“This game is a tribute to both the franchises it integrates and the musou gameplay. Koei Tecmo with Omega Games weren't scared to go all out in the exaggeration of this kind of battles. While the story is interesting enough to serve as a string to mix all the characters, the new movesets and special attacks are a blast to just beat thousand of enemies. It´s a shame you can't play multiplayer of any kind.”

“A series of very interesting concepts which unfortunately do not come together well, while also attempting to achieve a photorealistic look that is never achieved in full. Nevertheless a touching story about connection, given the reduced price point, it's definitely something you should play if you have nothing else lined up in your backlog.”

“Making the exact same game with brand new graphics is something no one did like this before. The game is a good idea to re-live the game as you remember, and it sets the debate if the gameplay should be adapted as well or not.”

“Chroma Squad is a surprisingly good indie game. While it´s tactical RPG gameplay manage to keep the ideas simple with some original mechanics, the best part of the game is the in-between-fights micromanagement part where we need to make lots of decisions to have the best tv show.”

“Another entry in the Warriors franquice. A nice way to learn about the history of Japan while button mashing our stress away. More of the same for the people who likes the formula, too bad it lacks multiplayer.”

“Utawarerumono is a good tactic RPG game. However it's main component lies in the story. You could describe the game as a tale with some battles to go through the chapters. Sadly the game is pointed to a very specific target making it unappealing to a general audience.”

“Full Throttle's strength is found within it's compelling story and colorful characters. A new artistic style and a masterful soundtrack selection by Tim Schafer. Even if it's shorter than most adventures, it definitely left a mark in my gaming career.”

“A new minimalistic game from the creators of Nidhogg. It´s simple and effective, if your played Flappy Bird you´ll know how your character moves. You need to pass through color based barriers that depends on your specific move in a Outland kind of way.”

“Probably the most unique graphic novel in a videogame. Both games have a superb storytelling and challenging escape room puzzles. The game has multiple endings but manages to makes all of them useful and important thanks to it's amazing plot twist. Be careful, you might learn a thing or two while playing The Nonary Games.”

“An open world shooter that takes place in Bolivia, a new region that we are not used to see in videogames. It’s easy to notice this as soon as you start playing thanks to its map full of mountains that offers a small twist in the gameplay. It is also quite easy to jump in and out of online sessions making it easy to keep your own progress while advancing with others whenever you want.”

“From the mind of Tim Schafer and his team at Double Fine, a funny, charming VR Adventure. If you happen to have a Playstation VR,love Psychonauts, and are also going to play Psychonauts 2, then don't skip this game.”

“In one world, Sniper Elite 4 is a fun game. Though it seems that you need to plan every move and snipe all enemies out, you can take any approach you want in your missions. The possibility of playing the whole game with friends online makes the experience better.”

“One of the darkest Tales of games so far. An excellent cast of traumatized characters with a nice script and character development. Although it tries to change the combat mechanics, in essence it's the same as every other game. A must play for all Tales of fans and a nice game for newcomers.”
