“Star Wars: Zero Company gets a lot right and manages to go one step further than XCOM. It’s a fantastic tactical game with great variety in squad composition and plenty of tactical depth in the battles. It definitely doesn’t need to hide behind its great role model. But it’s also a narratively strong game that takes us on a journey into the Star Wars universe. With great new characters, we get to see a previously unknown side of the Clone Wars—all within a stylishly presented narrative unlike anything we’ve seen before in a tactical game. Unfortunately, a few technical issues hold it back somewhat.”

“First Light is a solid adventure—though one shouldn't set one's expectations for the story too high. The blend of action and exploration works well, and 007 fans will delight in the abundance of tongue-in-cheek references to the films and novels. As for the Bond atmosphere, however, there is still room for improvement. Hitman fans should bear in mind that Agent 47 and Agent 007 appeal to very different audiences; those who primarily seek freedom, dark humor, replay value, and a challenge would be better off sticking with the piano wire.”
