“Overall, Captain Tsubasa 2 - World Fighters is exactly what you would expect from a video game adaptation of Captain Tsubasa. Rather than trying to simulate realistic football, it focuses on the exaggerated action, impossible moves, and memorable moments of the anime, and it largely succeeds in doing so. By making good use of the series’ familiar characters and world, while also introducing a custom character and new story elements, the game offers more than simply retelling the same old events. However, the limited depth of some systems and uneven pacing keep World Fighters from being more than a good game. Still, for longtime fans, seeing Tsubasa’s signature shots and Hyuga’s powerful moves come to life in a video game makes for a fun and nostalgic experience, as long as you don’t approach it expecting a realistic football game.”

“Mortal Shell 2 can be considered a successful sequel that takes meaningful steps forward in almost every major area compared to its predecessor. With more diverse Shells, a large and open world, handcrafted dungeons, and a combat system that offers surprising depth despite its seemingly simple design. Cold Symmetry has created an entertaining and challenging experience that has plenty to offer, especially for fans of the Soulslike genre. The absence of a stamina system doesn’t make the game any simpler. Instead, it gives players greater freedom in combat and allows the battle system to develop a more distinct identity of its own. That said, the game still has some shortcomings, particularly in its progression system, main story, and soundtrack. Even if the first Mortal Shell failed to fully win you over, Mortal Shell 2 is still worth giving another chance. As a standalone sequel from a narrative perspective, it shows that Cold Symmetry has a much better understanding of its original formula, resulting in an experience that can keep you engaged for hours while offering a satisfying sense of immersion in a dark and unforgiving world.”

“Duskfade immediately evokes the charm of classic 3D platformers from the very beginning. However, the game doesn’t rely solely on nostalgia to succeed. Its developers have introduced some genuinely interesting ideas, particularly in the platforming, that keep the overall experience fun and engaging while making exploration across its visually stunning worlds a rewarding experience. The combat system, meanwhile, doesn’t quite manage to be as enjoyable or compelling as the platforming. If you’re a fan of platformers, Duskfade is well worth experiencing and a game you’re unlikely to regret playing.”

“Overall, Denshattack is a game that knows exactly where its strengths lie and builds the entire experience around them. While its anime-inspired story is enjoyable enough, it's ultimately the gameplay that steals the show. Excellent level design, a rewarding scoring system, high replay value, and fantastic audiovisual presentation come together to create an experience that's consistently exciting from start to finish. The only notable drawback is the steep learning curve required to master its extensive trick system, but for players who enjoy refining their skills and chasing higher scores, Denshattack stands out as one of the most entertaining indie games in recent years.”

If you've been longing for the days when Assassin's Creed was at the peak of its popularity, or if you've always wanted to see why the franchise's older titles are still so beloved, Black Flag Resynced is an experience you absolutely shouldn't miss—even if it still carries over a few shortcomings, such as its dated AI.”

“UNBEATABLE is an experience that can satisfy the cravings of rhythm-game fans for a good while. Its energetic soundtrack—both in quality and sheer volume—paired with solid rhythm gameplay, stylish character and environment designs, and a variety of fun mini-games make up the game’s brightest strengths. Add to that some charming dialogue and well-written characters. However, despite these highlights, the muddled story and poor narrative delivery—along with a dull adventure/platforming section and a handful of audio-design issues—feel like a bucket of cold water that dampens the experience and overshadows the game’s better parts. Even so, UNBEATABLE can still be appealing not only to rhythm-game enthusiasts but also to other players, especially with its range of difficulty options and the ability to adjust beat speed. If you’re a fan of great music, definitely add UNBEATABLE to your list and enjoy the ride.”

“Overall, Death Howl is a game whose world I truly enjoyed exploring, following its delicate and distinctive story told through a uniquely styled pixel-art aesthetic. In terms of gameplay, although I had some issues with the design of certain enemies and the somewhat slow progression, the turn-based battles, experimenting with different card combinations, and the sweet taste of victory after a genuinely tough fight create a refreshingly unique experience among card-based games. So, if you’re a fan of this genre and aren’t afraid of a good challenge, Death Howl is absolutely a worthwhile title for you.”

“Whether you enjoy Black Ops 7 largely depends on what you expect from a first-person shooter. If you’re mainly looking for a strong story campaign, the new Call of Duty is genuinely disappointing—even with the addition of co-op. But if you return to the series every year for its multiplayer and Zombies modes, Black Ops 7 delivers a fun experience with excellent gunplay, solid maps, and an exciting Zombies mode. Still, the changes in these modes aren’t substantial enough compared to the previous entry to justify a full-price purchase. So, if you’re a Game Pass subscriber, Black Ops 7 is definitely worth downloading. For other platforms, though, it might be wiser to wait until future seasons add more content or to pick it up during a good discount.”

“News Tower leverages smart design, meticulous detail, and a strong commitment to the feel of classic journalism to deliver one of the most engaging management experiences in recent years. While it does suffer from a few issues—such as a somewhat shallow narrative and a lack of clarity in certain systems—the game’s ability to recreate the real challenges of running a newspaper, along with its wide variety of tools, flexible office-building options, and group decision-making mechanics, is hard to overlook. As someone who deals with the real, day-to-day pressures of working in media, News Tower felt not just entertaining, but familiar, inspiring, and at times genuinely demanding. It’s a game I can easily see myself returning to after work for a long time.”
