How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 23 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 6 times.

“The latest version of the Watchdogs series has been able to bring good ideas into the world of technology and modernity of this game, but although the idea of variety in using the main character for a revolutionary game is still lacking a single character with strong characterization in the game.”

“Neon Abyss is among those games that have great ideas and the developers have succeeded in implementing them. But that are holding the game back to become one of the best Rouge-like games. knowing Team 17, I am sure that they are going to address these issues in the future updates and the value of the game in going to be higher than what it is now. But still the game could bring an enjoying experience to those familiar with the genre.”

“Black Mesa is one of the highest quality shooters made to this day, and with its fantastic combat along with exciting boss fights, provides a unique experience. Furthermore, the Platforming is excellent without overstaying its welcome, and has made the game twice as fun. Major graphical increase over the original title has also made it possible to enjoy this historical game in 2020. Because of all these reasons, I recommend this title to all fans of Half-life, and for those who have not experienced it at all, I highly recommend it. Don’t miss one of the best remakes in history”

“The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters can be considered as a great title for fans of horror, and a different and lasting experience for all players. If creators had more time to fix the minor problems in gameplay and dubbing, we could have an almost perfect work that is worth repeating over and over again”

“Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia is a game that combines turned-based tactical combat with troop management over a campaign map. While it has great art in its VN-style cutscenes and has a deep Lore for its world, many of its mechanics feel shallow and outdated. As such, this game can only be recommended to die-hard fans of the genre who can enjoy its repetitive and sometimes tedious gameplay in short bursts to scratch that Turned-based tactics itch”

“Disintegration is built upon an intriguing idea. Although the final product does not satisfy our expectations as it should, but perhaps with spending a little bit more passion and time towards the game in its post-launch state by the developers, so that the accessibility of the game, especially when it comes to separate unit control, is improved, we might have a better game”

“West of Dead is an interesting game with mechanics that look good on paper. However, many of these mechanics are poorly implemented and make rage-quits a regular occurrence! Fortunately, the game excels in some parts like the boss fights, and there are workarounds for minor issues. As such, there is a good chance this game can improve immensely with some titles. Maybe it would have been better if this title was released in Early Access first, so that player feedback could have played a bigger role in development”

“Beyond Blue is definitely not the first game that tries to reconcile us with science and our planet using videogame methods, but undoubtedly, is one of the best. This does not mean that this game is flawless, but it is an actual step forward. While the game’s ocean is not as alive and responsive as it should be, the characters and the narrative are astonishingly alive and believable, and can definitely teach us how to be human”
