How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 22 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 9 times.

- 90Kusan: City of WolvesAug 18, 2026 · Paulo Teles
“Kusan: City of Wolves is a fast-paced neon-noir action game inspired by Hotline Miami, putting players in the role of Jin, a former soldier turned hitman in a city inhabited by anthropomorphic animals, as he delves into a dark story involving gangs, biological weapons, and personal mysteries. Featuring a visual style defined by motion comics and 1990s influences, an art direction crafted by renowned artists, and a vibrant hip-hop and electronic music soundtrack, the game combines an investigative narrative, morally ambiguous characters, and intense gameplay that demands quick reflexes and varied strategies, delivering a brutal, stylish, and immersive experience that celebrates influences from pop culture, comics, and cinema in a high-quality product for hardcore gamers.”

“Beast of Reincarnation is a bold step outside Game Freak’s comfort zone, and much of what works here showcases a genuinely talented studio trying something new. The problem is that the experience as a whole is held back by decisions that undermine its potential: a narrative that takes too long to get going, an excessive reliance on recycled bosses, repetitive environments, and PC optimization that still needs some work. It’s a game with genuine moments of brilliance, but they’re surrounded by quite a bit of padding, repetition, and a constant sense of “almost there.” It’s worth checking out for fans of the genre who are willing to overlook some missteps, but it falls well short of being the definitive leap Game Freak may have been looking for beyond Pokémon.”

“Flesh Made Fear is a classic survival horror developed by Tainted Pact and funded via Kickstarter, resurrecting the essence of the early Resident Evil games and the works of horror masters like Romero, Cronenberg, and Lovecraft. With retro aesthetics inspired by the fifth console generation, fixed camera angles, and tank controls, the game blends action and horror in a story where the R.I.P. squad confronts scientist Victor Ripper and his grotesque creations in the city of Rotwood. Despite minor flaws in camera transitions, the title stands out for its nostalgic art direction, varied arsenal with strategic resource-management mechanics, challenging puzzles, and multiple endings that encourage replay. Packed with references to trash cinema and classic horror, the game delivers an engaging and creative experience, cementing itself as a solid and enjoyable option for genre fans.”

“Denshattack! is one of those experiences that reminds us why video games are so special. A concept like this, with such creative ideas and such an unusual blend of elements, could hardly exist in any other medium. It is a unique, fun, and completely unconventional adventure. Whether you are a fan of skateboarding games or simply someone looking for innovative and surprising experiences, Denshattack! is one of the must-play games of 2026.”

“Ground Zero may not be the most original survival horror game you'll ever play, but it is certainly one of the titles that best understands the essence of the genre. It looks to the past with respect while still introducing improvements that make it more enjoyable by modern standards. Despite its pacing issues, some questionable design choices, and a difficulty curve that loses momentum toward the end, its atmosphere, exploration, and commitment to classic horror make it an experience that any fan of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, or Dino Crisis should check out.”

“Thrifty Business is a cozy experience that transforms the simple task of organizing objects into something surprisingly engaging. With charming pixel art, a wide variety of items to collect, and a strong sense of community, the game wins over players with its charisma and welcoming atmosphere. Its premise is simple, but executed with consistency and personality. The game doesn't reinvent management simulators, but it knows exactly what experience it wants to deliver. Because of this, it's highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and stylish adventure.”

“Mixtape is exactly the kind of experience that justifies the existence of video games as an art form. With the full creative support of Annapurna Interactive, Beethoven & Dinosaur has delivered something no other medium could replicate: an interactive, musical, and emotional memory about the beautiful pain of growing up. Through creative and varied vignettes, a soundtrack that could easily rank among the best of recent years, and an art direction that rivals the industry's greatest works, Mixtape leaves a lasting impression that will endure far beyond its three-hour journey. It is not a perfect game—players looking for a challenge may come away frustrated, and its replay value is virtually nonexistent. But for those willing to surrender themselves to the experience, Mixtape is one of the most beautiful, sincere, and essential experiences of 2026. Put on your headphones, press play, and let Blue Moon Lagoon carry you away.”

“Bubsy 4D is an absolute joy to play, packed with a genuinely hilarious sense of humor. Featuring precise gameplay enhanced by excellent momentum, charismatic characters, and a charming aesthetic, the game brings one of gaming’s most infamous mascots back into the spotlight — and, if all goes well, this time he’s here to stay. The team at Fabraz has once again delivered a top-tier platformer and, despite a few aspects that could still be improved here and there — in some cases unrelated to the studio itself — there’s no denying that we are looking at one of the best platform games of 2026.”

“REPLACED stands out for its visual identity and the strength of its atmosphere, delivering a dense, stylish world loaded with meaning. Its narrative, supported by themes such as identity and inequality, remains engaging throughout, while exploration deepens that immersion with compelling lore elements and meaningful interaction. In terms of gameplay, there is a solid and creative foundation, especially in combat, which offers an interesting and rewarding pace when everything works as intended. However, inconsistencies in command responsiveness and some readability issues during more chaotic moments end up compromising the experience, creating frustrations that could have been easily avoided. Even so, REPLACED gets more right than wrong. It is a game built on very well-conceived ideas, and while its execution is not flawless, it still delivers memorable moments.”

“Project Songbird isn’t perfect — but it never tries to be. It knows exactly what kind of experience it wants to deliver, and for the most part, succeeds. While clear gameplay flaws hold it back, atmosphere, storytelling, and a distinct identity make up for much of that. More than cheap scares, the game aims to evoke emotion — and, above all, leave something behind once it ends.”

“Last Man Sitting stands out much more for its boldness and identity than for its technical execution. The mix of mechanics inspired by rogue survivors and the creative gameplay based on mobility with office chairs creates moments that are genuinely fun and different from the genre's standard. However, clear limitations such as shallow content, a repetitive gameplay loop, performance issues at higher difficulties, and unsatisfying boss design ultimately prevent the game from delivering a truly solid experience. Even so, for those looking for something outside the box, the title offers a chaotic and charismatic experience that, despite its flaws, manages to entertain for a few hours and leaves that lingering feeling of "it could have been even better."”

“I had been waiting quite a while for the final version of Towerborne with a fair amount of anticipation – and I’m happy to say it didn’t disappoint. Stoic managed to deliver a perfectly balanced, genuinely fun experience, featuring an engaging campaign, absurdly satisfying gameplay, and stunning art direction. Towerborne has the potential to appeal both to those looking for a more laid-back, casual experience and to hardcore fans of the brawler genre. For the latter, however, there’s still hope that crossplay and couch co-op will be implemented as soon as possible, so the experience can truly feel complete.”

“Technically, Crisol: Theater of Idols is a solid game, featuring cohesive art direction, a well-crafted atmosphere, smart audio design, and a campaign with a fair length. However, its uneven pacing midway through the experience and strong inspirations from the Resident Evil franchise prevent it from achieving something greater, even though they do not erase its merits.”
