“WWI - Gallipoli brings more intense WWI-era multiplayer shooting, with realistic depictions of all things war. It can be grim, and certainly makes us respect those who had to do this for real even more, but it’s a good way to remember the horrors of the past whilst still having some fun with large scale matches. It’s unique rhythm might not suit all, but if you’re after a shooter that feels different to almost everything else out there, then this comes recommended.”

“Sometimes the hype is real and with the 1.0 release of Waterpark Simulator I am happy to say the hype is not only real but also holds up great. As someone who has been following the game since early access, I can confidently say the full release was worth the wait. So many features have been added, and the game still holds on to that magic that has persisted since the early days. With very few criticisms, this is most likely the first simulator I would recommend to someone looking to try or jump into the genre.”

“It might not be the Aussie Rules simulation that people want, but Pro Jank Footy is an accessible sports game, that ended up making me appreciate some of the finer points of the real sport. Perfect for beginners that have no idea about this sport, or any sports for that matter.”

“No More Room In Hell 2 has won us over with fantastic objective based gameplay, letting us pair up with up to 8 players to survive the madness. The maps are huge and offer plenty to explore, the new Survival mode is a great change of pace, and the constant risk of losing it all feels well balanced. If Torn Banner can sort out the buggy menus, we’ll have one of the best online multiplayer games we’ve played this year on our hands.”

“Should you play this if you loved the original: yes. Emphatically. And I say that as someone who's usually the first in the room to say a remake didn't need to exist. This isn't a lick of paint — the weather, the seamlessness, the diving, the combat all change how the game plays, not just how it looks. If you've never played Black Flag: this is where you start, full stop. Don't go back and play 2013 first out of some sense of duty — you'd just be signing up for stiffer combat and loading screens for no reason. You actually get the better deal here: the rest of us are quietly mourning a couple of cut things, and you get to just play the best version with no ghosts abord the vessel. Slightly jealous of you, if I'm honest.”

“While it’s not a perfect remake thanks to a few niggles (and a distinct lack of PvP), there’s no denying that Halo: Campaign Evolved takes what was so beloved about the original and improves on it in many ways. It looks incredible, the quality of life improvements and reworked levels are welcome, and whether you’re back after 25 years or brand new, this is still a standout FPS that needs to be played.”

“Overall, D-topia has been a refreshing and enjoyable experience. The puzzle difficulty is pitched well for the most part, erring on the easier side to keep things flowing, and interacting with the people of D-topia is rewarding as we get to know and help them. Being able to use items we purchased in any way would have been nice, but it’s a small blemish on what was otherwise a well paced take on AI, and the future of humanity alongside it.”

“It’s a well put together collection of what I love about the old school games, and Hollowbody holds it all together with a compelling, dark tale, and decent puzzles and progression. That the controls don’t quite work as well as we’d like is a small downer – it’s far from unplayable, just a little more awkward than we’d hope – but it’s not enough to make this any less than a solid recommendation to retro survival horror fans all the same.”

“Mina the Hollower has been on many gamers lists for a long time coming and I'm happy to say, it's not bad. It lets you experience "old school hard" gameplay or new age accessible gameplay in hopes of reaching all players. It lets you experience the game in so many ways that fit you which is something I think most games don't allow. Easy recommendation for gamers looking for action adventure through an old school lens.”

“In my opinion 3D platformers are tough to nail. The ones that do live on and those that don’t, get forgotten about. I think Bubsy will see a short stay, but it’s not polished so much for the long haul. And maybe that’s the Bubsy way. If not for the controller issues I had, it’d be a really fun recommendation for more but for now, I’d probably just give this one to those orange bobcat aficionados.”
