How this trust score was computed
Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.
Controversy record: on 60 games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, this reviewer sided with players 20 times.

- 90Resonance: A Plague Tale LegacyAug 26, 2026
“Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a bold pivot for the series that successfully trades its signature rat swarms and grim stealth for a dynamic, parry-focused action experience. Sophia's origin story delivers a refreshing adventure that feels both new and deeply connected to the lore of the franchise.”

“Mistfall Hunter has plenty of fast-paced action to keep you occupied. Enemies attacking you from every angle keeps you on your toes. It’s a PvP environment and you cannot avoid it. It’s a nice game but only if you like multiplayer.”

“Halo: Campaign Evolved is the modern version of Combat Evolved we all have been waiting for. Put the issues aside, it's a great remake that enhances the experience while not changing what made Halo so great to begin with.”

“D-topia is a beautifully crafted puzzle adventure that combines clever environmental puzzles with heartfelt storytelling and thought-provoking themes. Its gentle pacing and relaxing atmosphere won't satisfy players looking for constant excitement, but those willing to immerse themselves in its carefully constructed world will discover an emotionally rewarding journey that explores the meaning of happiness with surprising depth.”

“Overall, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced is an excellent re-entry to the Assassin’s Creed series. A lot of the quality of life changes that have been made to combat allows for a more engaging and fluid system, the expansion of the story line to see deeper character growth, and obviously the complete graphic overhaul bridges the gap between Black Flag’s original release and the more modern entries allowing a new generation of gamers to dive into Black Flag.”

“33 Immortals transforms chaotic 33 player battles into an exhilarating cooperative roguelike experience. Its addictive progression, rewarding teamwork, memorable boss encounters, and refreshingly accessible design make it one of the most original multiplayer games in recent years, even if visual clutter and limited communication occasionally get in the way.”

“Mayhem is a bold new step for the Disgaea series, and even though someone like me greatly enjoys the occasional different genre spin-off, there simply isn't much to be seen here. The game places a lot of emphasis on the Magichange mechanic, but the reality is that it rarely comes up during actual gameplay, as most enemies are pushovers and don't really require you to put in any effort. There's a lot of grinding to be done, something that fans of the series will probably enjoy, but while the stick is present, the carrot is unfortunately nowhere to be found.”

“DragonSword: Awakening is a satisfying open-world action RPG held back by progression scaffolding left over from its free-to-play gacha past.”

“Moonlight Peaks provides a thriving community that rewards you with every interaction. There’s lots of daily activities and rewards to incentivize you to keep playing. Some concepts aren’t explained well and the story pace can be slow. It’s definitely a cozy game that needs investment but pays off at the end.”

“007 First Light is an excellent stealth-action game wrapped in one of entertainment's most iconic licenses. It offers gorgeous visuals, strong performances, satisfying stealth mechanics, and an engaging origin story for James Bond. At the same time, it leans so heavily on the foundation established by Hitman that longtime fans may struggle to see it as a truly original experience. If you've always wanted Hitman with more story, more action, and the unmistakable style of James Bond, you'll probably have a fantastic time. If you were hoping for a revolutionary reinvention of the spy genre, you may walk away feeling like you've simply replayed a familiar masterpiece dressed in a tuxedo.”

“Swan Song is a beautiful reminder that puzzle games do not need pressure or spectacle to leave a lasting impact. Its inventive music based mechanics, relaxing pace, and touching story come together to create an experience that is both intellectually satisfying and emotionally moving. While its slow pacing and familiar structure may not appeal to everyone, those willing to embrace its quiet rhythm will discover one of the year's most memorable indie puzzlers.”

“The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is a beautiful, charming, and frequently brilliant action RPG that earns its inspirations. If Team Asano and Claytechworks get to make a sequel with this engine and the rough edges get smoothed out, they'll have something even more special.”

“LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is one of the best that TT Games has put out to date. This sets the standard of what LEGO games should be. Funny, engaging story, simplified combat, and plenty of references are to be found in this game.”

“Rune Dice is an absolutely brilliant roguelike that blends physics, strategy, and build crafting into one of the most addictive gameplay loops I've experienced in a long time. Whether on a laptop or a Rog Ally X, it is the kind of game that constantly pulls you back for one more run, one more build, and one more chance to create the perfect chain reaction.”
