How this trust score was computed

Trust blends alignment (40%): does the outlet rank games the way players do; decoded accuracy (30%): after translating the outlet's own scale habits (a '7/10 means mediocre' scale is decoded, not punished), how well its reviews predict player sentiment; and player-side (30%): on games where press consensus and players sharply disagreed, whose side it took. Recent reviews weigh more (2-year half-life), and the blend is shrunk toward a neutral prior (60) so small samples can't peg the scale. Player quality is launch-window Steam sentiment, so outlets aren't punished for reviewing a launch build that later got patched.

The Mound: Omen of CthulhuAug 24, 2026 · Craig Edwards

The Mound Omen of Cthulhu has one genuinely excellent idea in its sanity system, delivering moments of paranoia and psychological horror that perfectly capture Lovecraft’s themes. Unfortunately, inconsistent performance on PS5, repetitive gameplay, clunky combat, and a general lack of polish prevent the rest of the experience from reaching the same standard.

    Moonlight PeaksAug 11, 2026 · Craig Edwards

Moonlight Peaks may not reinvent the cosy life sim genre, but it doesn’t need to. It’s a cosy life simulator full of personality, wrapped in a gorgeous supernatural setting that makes familiar mechanics feel fresh again. While it doesn’t excel the genre forward in any major way, its charming world, relaxing gameplay and lovable cast make it a thoroughly enjoyable adventure.

    33 ImmortalsAug 6, 2026 · Sahil Lala

33 Immortals is overall a very fun roguelike hack and slasher title. If you played something like Hades, you will have a fun time here but don’t expect the same level of polish and quality. This game feels very content low and given the low price it’s selling for on Steam, I can’t be too harsh on it. It’s actually perfect for picking up and playing in short bursts and that’s clearly the main draw to it.

    Luna AbyssJul 14, 2026 · Adam Ligocki

Luna Abyss is one of those moments when a game becomes more than a pleasant surprise, it’s when a game becomes a complete joy to play. It has fantastic platforming and bullet hell inspired combat with an intriguing narrative. While not all of what’s happening in Luna Abyss is adequately explained, it’s a wonderful dive into a universe that I would love to see more off.

Realm of InkJul 14, 2026 · Craig Edwards

In the end, Realm of Ink doesn’t try to outdo the giants of the genre. It just focuses on what it does well — strong combat, a distinctive visual style, and systems that keep you engaged longer than you expect. It’s not perfect, and it doesn’t need to be. It just needs to be fun enough to keep you coming back. And for me, it did that.

The Adventures of Elliot The Millennium Tales is an amazing strong RPG underneath its limitations. The combat is fun, the world is stunning and well designed, and the visual design is genuinely impressive. When everything clicks, it feels like a modern take on classic RPG structure done right. For me it felt like going back in time to the release of Zelda.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag ResyncedJul 8, 2026 · Craig Roberts

Black Flag Resynced is exactly what a remake should be. It keeps what made the original special and improves everything else. For returning fans, it’s the definitive version. For newcomers, it’s the perfect introduction.

    Gothic 1 RemakeJul 7, 2026 · Craig Roberts

Gothic 1 Remake is a rare breed that actually respects its source material instead of trying to reinvent itself. It’s not perfect, and it definitely won’t suit everyone, but it delivers exactly what long-time fans wanted — and that’s something a lot of modern remakes fail to do.

    AphelionJul 6, 2026 · Sahil Lala

Aphelion is the equivalent of a burger from a fast-food restaurant. You know it’s not good for you, it’s not the greatest and it’s not going to blow your mind but it will satiate your hunger. Give this game a try if you don’t mind playing through a slow-burn, climbing, walking and light puzzle solving game with gorgeous visuals and a rather standard sci-fi story.

Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War!Jun 22, 2026 · Sahil Lala

Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War is a great, 5 hour FPS in the style of retro shooters from days long gone by. The theme, aesthetic, voice acting and everything about the game is well done and while some aspects could have used a bit more polish or fleshing out a bit more, the game is well worth the asking price and I can highly recommend it to players wanting a fun FPS to enjoy. Do your part for the Federation today! Give Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War a go. Chances are, you’ll really enjoy the game

    HollowbodyJun 11, 2026 · Adam Ligocki

Hollowbody may become a bit rote halfway through the campaign, but what it lacks in scares and innovative gameplay is more than made up for with an atmospheric world, great sound design and multiple endings, all of which I wanted to see. Hollowbody hits all the beats of early survival horror games to a tee, making it a perfect, short-lived treat for retro-style game lovers.

WILL: Follow The LightJun 5, 2026 · Alex Gilbert

Will Follow The Light is a strong debut from TomorrowHead Studio. It delivers a deeply emotional story, engaging gameplay mechanics, and stunning visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5. While it does have flaws in voice acting, performance polish, and some visual inconsistencies, it remains a standout indie experience that is well worth playing.

    007 First LightMay 28, 2026 · Craig Roberts

007 First Light finally delivers a modern Bond game that understands the character beyond the action scenes. Combining stealth, spycraft, cinematic storytelling, and IO Interactive’s design strengths, this is easily the best James Bond game in decades.

Is this a worthy addition to the Soul Reaver cannon? The retro action platformer design is a strange choice for a game world that inherently screams Metroidvania and the tacked on backstory is one I’m not sure we needed as much as we did a continuation. Don’t get me wrong, as a massive fan of the Soul Reaver franchise I feel like Nosgoth is one of the most underutilised game settings and, as with most fans, I’ve always wanted more games set in this universe. The Soul Reaver games has some of the best writing, music and voice acting in gaming and who wouldn’t want more on that level. And as much as I would love to continue immersing myself in Nosgoths fantastic world, I’m not sure this was the best way in which to have done it.
