“In the end, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage left me impressed by its characters and atmosphere, but disappointed by how the story and its characters end up. Many resolved feelings both for the characters and myself… but hey, I guess that’s life, huh? I definitely wanted more answers, more closure, and something that felt like a real ending instead of a box full of mysteries and a promise that maybe more is coming later. There’s definitely potential here, and I would still play a sequel if one happens, but as a standalone story, this one left me wanting a whole lot more tape.”

“Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a strong return for one of the franchise’s most beloved games. It keeps the heart of the original intact while updating the areas that need the most attention. Combat is smoother, stealth is less frustrating, naval battles are still incredible, and the pirate fantasy remains one of the best Ubisoft has ever created. This also feels like the right kind of remake for Assassin’s Creed. It proves Ubisoft can revisit classic entries without turning them into massive RPGs or stripping away what made them work in the first place. If this is the model going forward, it would be exciting to see other fan-favourite entries receive the same treatment, especially with new games released in between. As someone who never fully connected with Black Flag the first time around, Resynced finally gave me the chance to understand why this entry means so much to Assassin’s Creed fans. For players who have never experienced Black Flag, Resynced is absolutely the way to go. For longtime fans, it is a familiar voyage with enough modern polish and lore changes to make the return worthwhile.”

“Eternal Strands is definitely a game of extremes. Its highest highs... scaling a massive creature while freezing its limbs and barely holding on, world-building, etc... feel inventive and exhilarating. Its lowest moments, which include repetitive combat loops, sometimes awkward physics, and slow narrative pacing, are harder to ignore the longer you play. What ultimately carried this game for me is the strength of its core idea. The way its systems interact, the freedom it gives players to experiment, and the sheer 'spectacle' of its biggest encounters make it stand out in a crowded genre.”

“Forza Horizon 6 is an outstanding open-world racing game and one of the most enjoyable entries in the series. It captures the freedom, energy, and sense of discovery that have always made Horizon special, while adding new activities like food delivery missions, Smash Stunt, car meets, treasure cars, skill songs, and massive festival races that make Japan exciting to explore. The only major disappointment is that the game does not fully embrace Japanese racing culture as much as it could have. More touge battles, drift-focused events, street racing, and tuning culture would have made the setting feel even more complete. Even with that missed opportunity, Forza Horizon 6 is a fantastic racing experience. It is fast, fun, social, and constantly rewarding. If you love the Horizon series, this is easily one of its strongest entries.”

“Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is a disappointing case of a game with an interesting premise being pulled under by technical problems. The investigation elements, occult mystery, and deep-sea setting all had the potential to create something memorable. Sadly, confusing mechanics and serious bugs stop the game from reaching that potential. The game-breaking glitch I encountered makes it impossible to give this a strong recommendation. Once fixes arrive, this may be worth revisiting, especially for players who enjoy slower investigation games. But in its current state, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss is a game I would wait on.”

“Gear.Club Unlimited 3 is a game of "what ifs." What if the ambitious Story Mode was backed by a stable engine? What if the "weather" actually affected the asphalt? The Highway Rush mode is a blast, and the 40-car roster (featuring the likes of Pagani, Nissan, and Bugatti) is meticulously detailed. However, the frequent game crashes, the complete absence of online play, and a "Graphics" mode that feels like it’s running through mud make this a hard sell for anyone but the most dedicated series fans. Japan deserved a smoother ride than this.”

“Still, from a critical view, the strong themes don’t make up for the simple gameplay. As a game I reviewed on Nintendo Switch 2, which caters to a younger audience, I appreciate the gentle approach and safe emotional space that kids can still enjoy, but you’ll also notice the missed chance for deeper tension. Imagine if the weather really changed your path, or if your choices about helping others or rebuilding changed the story’s mood. While the story works, I can't help but feel that it was mostly in one tone. Winter Burrow understands mood, framing a story, and emotional subtext, but never really experiments with its own language the way I would have liked. It’s thoughtful, visually articulate, and occasionally poignant...just not ambitious enough in its mechanics or narrative structure to step from “good” into “great.””
